Slacker_Sam.
Lol you usually dont see hunter's modified, so I thought id give it a go. Got it home tonight. Pics to come. Interior is immaculate, a few bits that weren't mentioned in the auction (like the rear brakes are binding like fuck, some minor dents & a spot of rust.) but all in all Im a happy man. Beaver
theres a reason you dont lol.... I had 3" blocks in mine and springs compressed asmuch as I could while keeping captive. dropped it nicely.
Slacker_Sam.
"Compressed" or chopped? haha. I was planning on flipping a leaf in the rear & adding some 2.5" blocks, and chopping the fronts down as much as possible. I've managed to score a complete parts wagon, its rusty as fuck but lots of good bits still.
Beaver
they were compressed lol,was when I was young and thought cut springs were bad. 3" blocks had the diff about 0.5" off hiting the underside so not too much room to go reeeeeeeeeeeeeal low. just run small wheels. fuck all room for wide wheels, i had 6" minilights with 185/60s and they rubbed like a mofo with load in the car. lipped guards with sledge hammer but didnt fix it completly. dont do skids, they like to blow diff (mine was blown when I got it). keep an eye out for twin carbs and headers, they come up every so often. only thing to watch out for is there is an alloy head and cast head versions of the 1725cc motor and they have different port spacings so manifolds dont fit both. also Id recommend replacing engine and gbox mounts as now doub they will be fcked. the gbox in mine used to hit the side of the tunnel when you gave it beans lol
- i5oogt -
I still have the 3" blocks and compressed front springs from your old hunter beaver, and those twin carbs off the old yellow parts car for an alloy head motor. sam, if any of this stuff is of use to you make me an offer i cant refuse
Slacker_Sam.
I'm going to attempt to run 13x7.5's with 165-80's so hopefully i don't get any major guard rubbage. and rats, my one is cast iron head i think... from the 5 second look under the bonnet I had this morning. But I may be interested in those blocks & springs once I've fixed everything else
Beaver
you can tell by the rocker cover. alloys is rectangular and ribbed on top, cast is rounded on top (much like a escort 1300/1600). also let me know when you sell this in 3 months,....have alwasy wanted a hunter goon lol

Slacker_Sam.
Alex, you know me, its a keeper until I get bored of it haha. And I saw that wagoon, looks pretty lush. Going to rip into it this week. Get a wof & get some low.
yoeddynz
i give it 2 months.
Slacker_Sam.
Oh ye of little faith. There's a 3 month minimum on this sort of thing don't you know May be longer though, the wof on the celica is going to run out soon and its going to need some work to get it up to standard. So Hunter goon may be around for a wee while yet.
