Simon
Have always been jealous of your guards haha. I'm pretty sure they have had a bit of work put into them at some point? Never seen guards that pumped on any others, even GT-TRs.
TTONEFOURTWO
haha cheers, now the task is trying to get wheels to fill them out, yours are nice.. use to look good on my coupe haha Im jealous. Pic of it years and years ago before hugo owned it (i think), still has the flared guards so who knows who did them..

NicT
These are rad, i was thinking of buying that corona coupe off hugo when i sold my first trueno. Full circle aye. CA18 is an awesome choice. Underated engine and they go well in light old toyotas.
Roman
Always wondered what happened to this car... Freaken awesome to see it's on the mend! Great stuff.
Raizer
lol I always wondered what happened to this engine. The box is from a CA18i powered R31, flywheel from memory is Bluebird CA18ET one, rear seal leaked like fuck and the engine originally came from a 180sx in Whakatane. TTONEFOURTWO
Oh. I have no idea how you get CAs into escorts, such tiny engine bays. Where was he going to mount brake booster and reservoirs? That thing had some crazy rust.
Roman
I think it looks good on those 16" wheels 14s or 15s look good too, but it doesnt exactly look horrible as it stands.
TTONEFOURTWO
Yea your right, Main reason I want to go to 14s and lower offset is there isn't much inner guard clearance in the front and running 25mm spacers at the moment with still a bit of guard gap in the back. Im definitely making this car to be driven so no stupid camber or tyres rubbing etc.
Raizer
Oh. I have no idea how you get CAs into escorts, such tiny engine bays. Where was he going to mount brake booster and reservoirs? That thing had some crazy rust. Yeah there pretty tight, we had a palmside pedal box with the masters under the dash in it (it's in Low'N'Slow's fe powered Escort now). And yeah was pretty rotten eh! Was a good shell when we started putting a a CA18et in it, then he moved to Aus and left it uncovered at his olds for ages.
ProZac
Love these cars, very very cool. I almost owned this many years (10ish) ago, down here in christchurch. Took it for a test drive, went pretty well, was completely factory basically. Thought on it for a couple of days, went back around with the cash, but the owner decided he didn't like me and wouldn't sell it to me... Told me I'd pulled a massive burnout in front of his house (must have been someone else, sure wasn't me). Was bit weird, and I always regretted not buying it. TTONEFOURTWO
No idea, bought them off "grannyspec" and haven't even seen them in person yet. I hope not because he didn't say they had a bend. Most probably wont be using the lips anyway and getting centers paint stripped and repainted, not sure what colour though.
Raizer
Oh yeah other thing I should mention, the gearbox is out of a ca18i spec Aussie r31, not sure if there weaker than turbo/rb etc boxes? We got it to go behind a ca18et originally.
TTONEFOURTWO
Yea I was thinking the same thing. Guess i'll find out on the first drive, may even get a ca18det box for it at some stage. Do you know if they fit the same driveshaft/same gbox length?
TTONEFOURTWO
Sweet as. Might use this pair to widen then and find others for the front.
