Yea your right, Main reason I want to go to 14s and lower offset is there isn't much inner guard clearance in the front

and running 25mm spacers at the moment with still a bit of guard gap in the back.

Im definitely making this car to be driven so no stupid camber or tyres rubbing etc.

Oh. I have no idea how you get CAs into escorts, such tiny engine bays. Where was he going to mount brake booster and reservoirs? That thing had some crazy rust.

Yeah there pretty tight, we had a palmside pedal box with the masters under the dash in it (it's in Low'N'Slow's fe powered Escort now).

And yeah was pretty rotten eh! Was a good shell when we started putting a a CA18et in it, then he moved to Aus and left it uncovered at his olds for ages.

Love these cars, very very cool.

I almost owned this many years (10ish) ago, down here in christchurch. Took it for a test drive, went pretty well, was completely factory basically. Thought on it for a couple of days, went back around with the cash, but the owner decided he didn't like me and wouldn't sell it to me... Told me I'd pulled a massive burnout in front of his house (must have been someone else, sure wasn't me). Was bit weird, and I always regretted not buying it.
