Guest SRAGE
Very very cool car man and that's saying something coming from a Datsun nut. I think I repeated this numerous times at Nats but now I've actually looked at the project thread i can see the effort you've put into it too. I bet Jenn was out in the garage with you the whole time helping as well - What an awesome chick! Super jealous she got to do track day AND gymkhana! Look forward too seeing you both at Nats 2014! xygtho
Hey there, a Am still following your project thread - love the wheels. Gotta ask - where did you get your longer wheel studs, and what length are they? Have to replace ther ones in the Mk1 we are building and am not sure where to get em, or whats a fair price. Are the ones you got 63xM12x1.5mm thread pitch, or are they a bit shorter? Really appreciate any info, and keep up with the updates. Cheers

M_C
After a year swearing at how poor my phone camera is I noticed it was set to macro. Might take slightly better pics now. (Still think my excitement story was better though.) Hope the install goes well tomorrow.

I have some opening front quarter windows on the way. I'm thinking type 9 I have a 3.5 diff head here and I'm trying to work a deal out for one. I was surprised with the weight they are quite light and more a plastic only 3 3 kg total weight. Very nice on the quarter windows where did you get them from. You still have that W50 ? I'm looking at selling my car to fund my new project that I have sitting in my garage. You bringing your car to next years nats?

Got them from Europe, cost a bit too, always wanted them though Was that another shell or a completely different car? Yeah if i can get enough money to get it how i want it. shaneo
Yeah that is another sport shell. If can get enough $ for mine it will pay for most of what I want and I have 3 really costly parts already shell , lsd , engine , And the shell has been blasted . Just bring your car it will look great any way there is not many of them around now days that haven't been turned into rally or race cars now days. M_C
Bugger your engine gave up and let all the magic smoke out at Hampton. Very hard to get that smoke back in after that... Good to see the old ford looked after you and still drove you home. Good excuse to get that real cross flow finished and in! Hampton was great event last night! So lucky with dry track all evening. I got Sparky down to 1.26.9 and finished up drenched in sweat and exhausted. Soo much fun.
Truenotch
Has it been running lean in the top end for a while? Might explain the low top speed and possible melted ringlands.
shaneo
Has it been running lean in the top end for a while? Might explain the low top speed and possible melted ringlands. Yeah seems like that might have been the problem . But it only started since I put the brand new dizzy with a preset curve in it so I wonder . Are the bike carbs at there limit? I know that engine has had a real good session and it does still run but I think the best way forward is EFI once the new engine has been run in. The way it sticks to the road now I just want more power
