NaN
you were asking for a panel shop, I used these guys to do a few parts I could remove and take to them, they did excellent work for a reasonable price and were all around good to deal with. Gaz
Oh, ya may have brought it off Chris from on here.. user low'n'slow. From memory he sold a 1600 a while ago. My car would have been stored at his house at that stage. Gaz

kiwitina
sweet looking car man. I nearly bought a mint GTE last year, still gutted that i missed out on it, I love the mk2's Thanks man. A GTE would be an awesome thing to get hold of! Worth something being a uniquely NZ variant! I read your anglia build lastnight and im worried i will find a bunch of rust like you did! The pic in your signature looks like its finished though yeah? Looks mint as!
Beaver
thats from my old mk2. was originally column shift but had been converted to floor shift. works sweet as long as you dont have the bench seat moved all the wat foward. even then, a slight tweak of thew gearstick would solve all problems
- i5oogt -
there are a couple of options, using the gearbox the same as hunteds old cortina, its out of a 1600mk3 cortina with the imput shaft shortened a little, you can heat the gearstick up a little and bend it to clear the seat if its a little far forward The other option is to fit an anglia gear stick and selectors into a standard column change box, this brings the stick out to this sort of location, you do need to modify the reverse selector for the anglia stick to work. otherwise keep a look out for a standard floor change box. you would be paying somewhere between $300 and $500 for a smk2 floor change box depending on model/condition

Thanks guys. I already have what I think is a '2000e' 4 speed which from what people tell me will go straight on. Maybe ill take a pic for you guys to confirm. Glad that it is possible to keep the bench though. I love it. Those summer days on a nice drive, sun is shining, cool breeze is blowing, engine is purring. Your girl is sitting next to you, you pretend to stretch in an effort to get your arm around without her noticing too much. One thing leads to another....Whoa..sorry. NaN
if the concrete is crumbling away, paint it, use a oil based paint, give it a weak thinned down coat, then a straight from the pot one, and another. use a roller. it will come out great and if you use white it reflects light like you wouldnt believe !. makes finding bolts easy if you dont want to move the car just put it on axle stands. takes about 2 days to dry properly. Gaz
Without trying to start a shitfight how will paint do anything? Standard practice when painting conc is to remove any loose material via scraping. If you did want to try the above method I would recomend PolyU or some kind of waterproofing membrain type product, neither will be cheap but it MIGHT do a little. PolyU is what I have and is a 2pot product with a cure time of around 7 days at 25°c... retail approx $140 for 5l, only comes in 5l packs. I would just leave with carpet tho as it is cheap/free! You could use some cementious plaster or filler to fill the larger holes under the carpet so jacks etc stay level if you felt it was needed. Gaz's 5c with no releveance to cars
kiwitina
Dont know if I could be bothered. The carpet will do the trick I think. Cheers
anglia4
nah anglia in sig is not mine, just a pic i found online for inspiration/what it will look like when done. I have the box out of my anglia if you need the selector. Not sure if its the original anglia box though as it had an esky 1300 and the anglias originally have a hydraulic clutch which mine doesn't.
