Vuaxhall viva shocks and springs

Would have to have a look in person to compare springs & shocks, but, the Holden Torana was based on the HB viva, which then became the LC torana - same double wishbone front end, coil spring rear end..

Dont take my word for it (in less than a month you can, when we'll have one parked here) but I believe you should be able to use LC/LJ Torana springs & shocks, which you should be able to pick up 2nd hand springs fairly cheaply..

To note, because they're from a torana, you'll find that the spring rates will be much heavier, so superlows may just be lows when in a viva if they fit...

You can get away with cutting the front because its twin wishbone setup and the spring can't go anywhere. I think you'd probably want to get a shorter shock to help keep it all captive though.

You can't cut the rear springs. Well, you can. But they won't stay in. The springs taper at the top and the bottom and are bolted in. This is great because you'll never have to worry about them not being captive but it means you can't cut either end off.

In the back you need to do 1 of 3 things. Compress them like Fuel did (which is a shit idea :P ), buy some aftermarket springs, or get some custom springs made.

My van has the same type of spring as vivas, not sure if it is exactly the same but i am using E30 bmw dobi super lows which fit perfectly.

Maybe try that spring? I got mine for $50 second hand, they are about 180-190mm long free height.

If they aren't lower enough then get them compressed, atleast they will be stiffer than factory.
