Z-M-K
Hello all, I have just purchase a 1982 ex lancer and was wonder if the 1981 ex lancer Dash cluster will fit in (I know it will physically fit, but what I mean is will the plugs be the same, or is it impossible to get the sucker in)? Pictures! I want this... In here... Thanx, Z-M-K

Z-M-K
The 81 dash cluster doesn't have the ugly metal bit on front. Z-M-K
My name is Russell
No idea but surely the plugs would be the same if the front looks so similar and there is only one year difference? What wrong with the existing one?
Z-M-K
Nothing's realy wrong, im just picky and like the look of the 81 as it doesn't have the ugly metal bit on it. Z-M-K
fuel
it looks like the '82 dash cluster is a bit deeper than the '81. Either that or the metal bit sits in front of the dash cluster. Have you got pics of a complete '81 dashboard? it could be that the actual dash clusters are the same between the '81 and '82 but the '81 cluster on trademe is not showing that metal cover piece. Z-M-K
Ill just have to wait till I pick up the car, I might be able to just remove the metal bit? Ahh owell might just have to live with it =) Z-M-K
lowlancer
I prefer the metal front version. And let's be honest, it's an EX, there's bigger fish to fry when it comes to making it look good

palmystar
Should be able to just swap the plastic metal bit for the plastic one. Don't think you will need to swap the whole cluster. Pretty sure cluster is a straight swap anyway.
