Truenotch
What if we find a decent wider 14" tyre? Obviously won't be able to run the required 245, but we might be able to find something else that's respectable. Toyo list a 225/40/14 with a * so you might be able to get it on indent. Guest
Yeh can get 225/40 Toyos easy enough, Chris from Firestone here is getting some in for bubblegoose. For reference this is a 225/40 T1R on a 14x12 and 14x11 respectively Obviously they're no good for a 12..., 9.5 should be easy
Simon
9.5" should actually be nice with those tyres. And the front wheels are bolted at 9" so even better and almost legal. The would actually be legal when I change the 6 on the back of my wheels to an 8 with a small bit of bog / jb weld. Do you know RRP of them? Thanks for the info man! This could solve my problems / how the hell am I going to buy 4 new tyres lol.

Will solve all my problems. Less profile may mean I won't have to modify my guards. But should probably get these first then weld on the flares. Study link here I come for living allowance. ♥

My 14's with 185/55's on already have a smaller rolling radius that the factory 13's with balloon tyres. So going down more will suck. So 40 profile is going to be worse again. No idea what my diff is but could swap some stz round, I got access to another diff. All the more reason to drive everywhere at 80k / wagon pace in my koop. If I ever did long distance in it though I would put the factory wheels on the back at least. Probably to front too, not keen for desert road on those mirror spec rims TBH. Truenotch
185/55/14 Rolling Dia - 559mm 225/40/14 Rolling Dia - 535mm 24mm difference in total rolling DIA, so it'll make a 12mm difference to your guard gap.... Want me to get nick to find a bourbon price?

See what he can get in 225/40 Also, I'm going to have to slam it heaps more to cover the gaps! 40mm here I come.
Truenotch
Man it's going to be uncomfortable with 40 profile tyres and 8kg rear springs!!! May as well build wheels from steel.....
Simon
Man it's going to be uncomfortable with 40 profile tyres and 8kg rear springs!!! May as well build wheels from steel..... Not to mention 10kg front springs and slightly over inflated tyres... My seats plush as. Can add more cushions and sheepskin. Slightly excited that I could take the ride height down further too. Although not in the rear. Could easily make some rear coilovers out of the struts I bought off Camel. Then I could go down in the rear. Going to have to see how hard it is to get out of my drive way first. Could be a good excuse to move to an appropriate flat in town!
Truenotch
Could be a good excuse to move to an appropriate flat in town! Quite keen. Shed and good driveway required.

Abarth
Just out of curiosity doesn't that coilover need another ring/nut on the threaded tube to lock the one that the spring sits on?
