- i5oogt - Posted May 25, 2008 Share Posted May 25, 2008 Hey all, just a quick note if you have an even slightly modded car dont go to Don McLean Motors in Sockburn my 64 mk1 corty was modded to disk brake front end in 1992, at the same time had wide steelies, side drafts and bucket seats from a mk2 cortina GT put in it, i have had it for 3 years and it has flown thru warrants. this time the stupid f***ing person who did the wof wants proof that the mods were done before 99 (what they were) or Low Volume Certification!!!!!! how the hell am i supposed to prove that the mods were done before 99!!!!! dont have $500+ to do a cert either WTF!!! totally pi%%ed off.... Chris.QCR Posted May 26, 2008 Share Posted May 26, 2008 I took my rusty Datsun720 ute there 4 months ago and they past it with a 1 metre gear lever with piston on end, one and half leaf springs in the rear which had all bent ,2 inch blocks, basically on bump stops all round and ill he failed me on was a cab mount rust and a tire which i swapped with spare, Ive been goin there for years and they been sweet!
