That yellow one is as follows:

Engine

930cc Talbot Sunbeam engine, Weber 28/36mm twin-choke carb, Weber manifold, ported Stiletto big-valve head, Piper reground cam, fully balanced and lightened bottom end, Janspeed tubular 4:2:1 exhuast manifold

+ Lightened, balanced flywheel and and Imp 4-speed box

Suspension + Brakes

Spax coil overs at front, and Spax dampers and springs at rear

MkIII Ford Fiesta XR2i vented front discs

Apparantly it revs to 8000rpm - that's about what you want :D

I'll be interested to see how it handles as a rear engined car

so am i

had a little fiddle around with it today. it looks like a previous owner has restored it a bit ruggedly(got carried away with the bog and spatula)

it still looks pretty sound tho. am getting pretty excited about the whole thing

that yellow one is mint!

i think the deal wth the twin headlights are:

hillman imps came out in only single (like mine)

sunbeam imps came with the double (like the yellow one)

also sunbeam produces the coupe type stillettos (like the yellow one)

i think thats right...

also, if any one knows of someone that needs bits for imps, PM me as ive got a few bits and peices i dont need. bumpers, interior etc

You're pretty much onto it, was also the Hillman California/n which was a single headlight coupe
