Guest Demonmk2
hey can anybody tell me what i need 2 do for my car to sit ahell of a lot lower 2 the ground with out getting a cert? i no i need new springs up front, but do i need to get my leafs re-set? <--- how much does that cost estimate? will i diffenetly need shortend shocks? or am i able to use normal shocks wid super low springs and normal lowering blocks i want at least 4cm lowering thanks
CaMpylobacter
bout $150 to get rear leaves set, around the same for lowering blocks. front springs are $200 or alternatively http://www.oldschool.co.nz/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=3385 shouldnt need to change shocks, although I would, seeing as they're prolly roooooted
Pushrod
I needed to shorten the shocks on my Mk2 to keep the front springs captive with a 2" lowered spring, at the rear going with blocks is the easy option to get it low a 2" drop all round will look good be pretty low but not to low. I ended up getting my car certed with that setup which included different wheels and seats
Guest Demonmk2
when u get it certed is it cheaper to cert everything when uv finshied or jsut as much eg. get motor done, seats, lowering etc does it all add up 2 just one price or is it 350 (or how ever much it costs to get certed) x number if cert'd items needed? 2 inch sohuld be enough to lower shouldnt it? (am waiting till engine is in see if it lowers it)
davidian
like youre gonna have a list of shit to cert anyways, dork if you go with 50mm blocks and low springs (not superlows!!) you might get away with no cert anyways my king lows stayed captive with new standard pedders shocks
Ned
you wouldnt be able to drop it that much could you? with those massive wheels?
Ogre
yeah get those king springs.Would make it look awsome as!!, and at $100 for the front thats a bloody good deal mate. They are like brandnew!!
Gaz
I lowered mine 3inch back. But if was to do it again i would reset the leaves and use no block. Cert is $350-+ for a stage one and then an extra $150 each thing you want to add at a later date.
lowlancer
Yuh fuck blocks reset and chuck an extra leaf in to keep em tight, rather than jelly, like mine

Toucan
bro for your custom setup i reccomend getting your leafs shortened Fully, I was looking into this at one stage, with the solid spring eye bushes with the sleeve bearing in them, the smoothest ride you can get out of an escort.
