Do it, but do it satin black rather that matt so it has the appearance you care a bit more.

Castrol GPL2 I think is the purpose wheelbearing grease I think. You can get a special tool which consists of two cups which force grease into the bearing or the 'grease in hand' tip above works. Though I usually end up with the crap everywhere

My hand still has some flap disc fragments embedded in it (nicely visible) from a wee accident I had a while ago
