About three years ago I threatened to build a 26inch BMX that looked like a Pantha. This weekend was the weekend that talk turned into action. I have a pile of parts for it that have been sitting around gathering dust, some tube I brought months ago, and some home made tools to make the job easier. Today It started to become a bike. So notching tube with a file is hard work and time consuming, tube notchers are expensive and a bit crappy looking. I looked at some on line and decided that my lathe could do the same job. It works perfect, and makes very neat notches. No more filing for hours! Nice fit too. And it's starting to look like the front of a bike Lots to do yet.

Safe R Brakes?

Cool, very cool. So some of it is Skoda? How about some mechanical details?

Can you per chance jump off something into one of the swimming holes to create a large splashing action?

Set on the van Chris? I saw a set at American Auto Parts the other day.

Yeah that's the one to get the arm at a better angle, it also put the sway bar in a better position. In saying that thoughI haven't written the book on it.

Is that a Boyd Coddington billet wheel? I hope it is and I hope it's staying!

Hi Matt, I've just called in to talk about your other Anglia. I think the Escort front end is the way to go just watch though the steering shaft sits into the engine bay quite a bit and you will have a crooked steering column unless you want to make an expensive double universal mid shaft. The sway bar ends up in a odd spot too it wants to be about 25mm below the chassis (from memory) Also if you want it to be real slammed the lower arms will end up pointing upwards at a moderate to medium slammed position. None of these problems can't be solved. On another note Classic Ford posted your film of the RX Anglia running on FB, I saw it the other night.

Sounds fun.

Hey, your car is looking good. I can't see your first photos,I don't know if they show the engine bay together or not. What's the cut out in the fire wall, and the transmission tunnel? Got some more specs on the car? Motor, box, suspension etc?

Hydraulic handbrake and dual line proportioning valves

Is it a disc brake rear end? If it is you could add a couple of extra calipers to the rear and plumb it separately. -
I feel a chainsaw thread coming on.

That's a big old fella Brock. Is it yours? Where did it come from? The no chain brake gives me the creeps, mine have kicked back and engaged the brake. I'm glad they have it.
-
Thanks. Yeah,it's been a long project.

Minor update. I've done a couple of things. Made a tow bar and found a nice piece of chain on the road that now lives on the bulldozer. Made a shifter so I can change between first and second in the auxiliary gearbox. It is much faster now especially in reverse. Fitted a new exhaust. Took it to some motor scooter thing. Then I towed some stuff and posed a bit. Does anyone else here get fizzed up about chainsaws?

%100 true. We had a set of workshop steel wheels and plastic steering wheel to put on them so the transporter driver could pick them up. I remember giving one car back to it's owner on Friday afternoon and it being back minus wheels Momo bits and body kit on Monday morning. Poor bugger. It's nice to see one again, yours looks tidy. Could you get a Green Radisich Telstar? or was that just Eurosport ones? A Eurosport with reground cams and a set of headers used to come into the workshop. It went very well!

I have fond memories of replacing Power Beat batteries, fitting new wheels, tyres, steering wheels, and tightening the the gear lever grub screws. There were a few Radisich Mazda Cronos's getting about Henderson in the late 90s.

Shuk Engineering will be able to cut you one if you can supply them something to copy the shape off.

Because they were. -
Well done! I wonder how the angle of the pivot affects the riding characteristics? I want to see you riding it once you've got it mastered.
-
Yes they are great. I couldn't say which one I like best, they are all cool, neat stories, and beautiful BSA parts.

The building in this photo is still standing. I drive past it from time to time. It's abandoned, and in a very poor state of repair. The building next to it has been recently demolished so it seemed like a good idea to get some photos before it gets pulled down. It was a fucking miserable day in Christchurch today but we still managed to get 8 Speedy Cycles together at the same time. One of them even belonged to one of the riders in the original photo. Here's some sweet old bike photos. PINE!

That's a lot of gearbox for the money.

Care to give me some idea of the cost of that R154? Good timing to turn a disaster into a success.

Awesome! I want a driving and wild skids/doughnuts video by this time next week! Great that you have done such a good job of it all, it's going to be superb.
