  1. mocked up the front for giggles Should look alright once fitted properly/all the same color
  2. well this thing has been neglected for about 2 and a half months now, but today I picked up a present for it. This is just the mostly finished plug for a test fit, its going back to the fibreglass guy next week to finish it off and make the mold and a set of 4 flares tis going to look the business if nothing else
  3. Did you get the VVti up and running and working on this motor in the end? What you reckon about it, was it worht the effort?
  4. I was gobsmacked by this beastie at nats. I still have no idea how you didnt crash in a ball of fire. It looked completely out of control
  5. k20 engines are fucking sweet too. Yanks are pushing the 2Ls up around 300whp NA and the 2.4+s over 400whp Such sweet motors
  6. What about an evo gearbox? Dont some of those run the engine on passenger side and the motor runs clockwise. So the difference must be in the gearbox.
  7. spent about two hours last night drinking a cuppa tea and reading the thread from start to finish. Im so bloody impressed, you and Hannah have done such an amazing job. Those pictures of your little spot next to the creek, look idyllic. Well done guys. Only thing i wondered was where and how do you work on all your cars? Or is that the next phase get hannah her truck license and then build a garage truck for you and your cars!
  8. fucks sake. They really do have you by the balls dont they. bastards
  9. Hey bairdy, I would check with the technical officer on that one. I think you will find the rule will be 305mm MAX or Like you say 5% of wheels base. I think that would come into affrect if you have a tiny wheel base car and you set it back 300mm but the first spark plug was say 10% behind the strut it would be ineligible. Atleast thats the way i interpret it. would pay to double check. Might have to move one spark plug in front of the strut haha
  10. I'll just leave this here http://vimeo.com/2740185
  11. god i hope so. Would very much like too see it in the reals
  12. Id have thought 70mm ones would be sweet? whats the distance from trumpet to valve, what you revving too and whats the average length of your exhaust primaries?

I got mine through Summit Racing, shit tons cheaper than anywhere else, cost me about 17USD each from memory for 3/4" Chromoly Teflon Lined QA1 Ones http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HAL-PCMR12T/
  14. Well better get off my ass and finish it then! Roman> *hopefully* updates should progress nicely, I have very nearly run out of things to weld so after that its really just plumbing/wiring/painting and spending money!
  15. Actually used to live in Palmerston north till about 14, didnt get into motorsport till a couple of years later, have never even been out to manfeild
  16. Pushed it out for a few photos. I pined a little
  17. Yeah that ^ Driving a car is way more fun than fixing a car haha
  18. cut your way in weld your way out. Seriously though, Dont use acid, you'll never get it out of the seams and it'll just rust them out, best bet is probably one on the rust converters mentioned above and then get as much of something to seal it up in the as possible, like an epoxy primer or a wax or something. Also those "odourless" Fish oils will make you car smell like fish for atleast a couple of years. They arent that odourless, atleast it did with the one my mates used in his 4wd Like you said you can only do so much without taking the car apart so just do your best. Its better than nothing
  19. Link Have released a ignition only computer but its probably a bit of overkill for what you want http://www.linkecu.com/products/engine- ... _lightning
  20. I'm not really sure. I'm willing to spend decent money on a good setup, however I don't have decent money at the moment, as I was made redundant not too long ago and haven't been able to find work again yet. However, get your mate to give me a price and I can consider my options. $800 plus shipping, its in chch. Seems to be about the going rate for a DE wth loom box and motor. I sold mine for $700 a while back.
  21. wow 280mm disc under a 13" wheel is certainly impressive. As most have said there shouldnt be any issues with a 260mm disc, it seems to be the norm
  22. Yup, RWD Block or nothing, unless your plan on running a non sr20 rwd box behind it with a adapted bell housing. Then it would just be the intake to contend with. For ease just settle for a rwd one. How much are you wanting to spend, I know a mate who is wanting to sell a s14 sr20de with loom ecu and box. Not sure what he wants for it but can find out
  23. I have a set of wilwood 4 pots and 260mm rotors. Have only done a test fit, but I didnt see any issues with diameter. I had a issue with the outer pistons hitting the back of the wheel but datsuns have shallow backspacing on the hub. Will be able to confirm for sure in the next month or so
