  1. LOL - the 15's look weird without them and the 16's I'm not sold on the centre caps but trying them out for a bit to see.
  2. 16's are about an inch lower in profile. So don't fill the guards up as nicely but they do look pretty cool with a bit more dish.

  4. Maybe? But more likely that was a one off from slow speed crawling up a long hill on a narrow road following a fuckwit who couldnt drive. Electric fan fixed that good as.

  7. Got up nice and early this morning with tonnes of enthusiasm and plans to take care of a whole bunch of things for Wagnats, Nats and just general sorting of my lockup. Did a bit of a service on the old girl, adjusted up the handbrake and clutch plus fixed a squeak in the rear brakes. I discovered when swapping the spark plugs that I have had the wrong ones in there since I got it going. The electrode must have been recessed so far inside the head. (see photo below) Seems to run a bit nicer and the exhaust smells a lot more potent so I am assuming it is burning the fuel much better now. Won't know till I drive it a fair whack to see if it has made a substantial difference in performance or driveability. Left - 304 injected motor plug (I pulled it out just to check my finding) Middle - new correct 308 plug Right - plug I've had installed since the I got the motor going (oops) I also had the original 16" steels painted by Matt (Sorensin) and chucked those on with the pursuit hubcaps. I'm not 100% on them yet. But give me a week and I'll know whether I'm keeping them or resorting to the 15's again. 16's vs 15's Fitted
  8. Picked up a parts car today from Whanganui. Bit haggard but its got a lot of great bits in it that I need so I snapped it up. Cheers to Duncan for being my tow bitch and Joe for letting me stash it in the back of his paddock. Getting towed down the field.

Probably not necessary but if you wanted to be ultra cautious, then just whip the sparkplugs out, fire a small dose of CRC into each cylinder then crank it over till the oil pressure light goes out. Shouldn't take very long, then chuck the plugs back in and fire it up - bazinga - Bob's your mothers brother!

  12. Geoff got his rebuilt by Howats I believe and got a good result.
  13. I rate this a solid 8 out of 10 and would get a 9 out of 10 if you did something about straightening up the camber on the front wheels. It makes it look a lot weird.
  14. I put any car I'm taking off the road, straight on hold after I take them off the road, and select 12 months on hold. Then every birthday I put all my "on hold" cars on hold again for 12 months as long as I am sure I will not be using them anytime soon. That means that I will put then on hold at least twice a year and the overlap will capture any irregularities and doing it every birthday means I should not forget. Only time it gets Tricky is when I have a car I take off the road only for winter. If you are not sure what vehicles are under your name then do the online form for revoking authorisation, use any rego you know is under your name. This works regardless of if you have revoked your authorisation before or not. Once you get to the confirmation stage it will give you a list of all the vehicles under your name. Includes, trailers and bikes too
