  1. If there was only 5 wires, i would be very happy with this arrangement Nah they have a shitload of wires. All the same colour. It's fucked.
  2. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=W8ENFDWM Enjoy
  3. That's not that bad. You should try wiring a Citroen. They use a grand total of 5 wire colours for the entire loom.
  4. I have an excel file somewhere that calculates boost based on engine and blower displacements, pulley ratios + a few other variables etc. Will figure out somewhere to upload it to / PM me your email
  5. That sounds like a better option to rewiring the current stereo, thanks, 2 questions though; Is it fine if i hook the main wire to the battery terminal itself? And acc wire for example, into the cigarette lighter wires? Cheers Yah do that. Mine is connected direct to the battery. Usually the headunit will have a fuse on its main input wire, but slap another as close to the batt as possible. 15A is good. Wire gets red hot very fast when it shorts out.
  6. I do enjoy how the smoke is coming both from the engine and the interior
  7. Best bet, when you're dealing with weird old factory wiring, is run all new stuff. Run a new main wire to the battery, 16awg or so, fused, from the battery into the (normally yellow) main power into the headunit. The black earth wire can be bolted to any metal object on the chassis / bodywork. Often the headunit will earth through its mounting points as well. The (normally red) acc wire on the heady should be hooked to a wire that is only on when the key is on. Acc wire etc. After that run some brand new speaker cable from the white, grey, purple and green out to your speakers. That pic that D posted up applies to the headunit colours, the car colours vary very greatly. I have yet to see a car that uses the same colour scheme as an aftermarket headunit.
  8. IDEA Waterproof the ignition system / power output, stick a snorkel on the intake and chuck it in the river
  9. Older mechanical boxes use the kickdown to tell the box when to downshift under heavy throttle. The a340e is all electronically controlled and the kickdown only controls the line pressure. The later model boxes (a350e?) used behind the series 2 1UZs are electronically controlled line pressure and run no kickdown cable at all.
  10. The line pressure is still controlled by the kickdown, so you can just lock that on full on. To speed up shifts etc read this stz http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showth ... take-a-nap)
  11. What part of Hamilton? I think I could manage that. It will in fact blend into our furniture, and one of our couches do need replacing
  12. What are your plans for it? Sweet rims with a dose of height reduction would be nice Stripped out, caged, manualized and running on large semislicks and it would be pretty bloody sweet
  13. Would very much like to attend but work on Sunday kinda fucks it up. Drink a crate for me.
  14. Keen observers will notice a minor issue with dipstick placement. However I am not really planning on turboing it, I'd much rather the supercharger, but either way the dipstick is in the way. Meh, I'll figure something out in the future.
  15. Aren't there some form of leads that have a coil wrapped around the center conductor to create some more inductance? Coz CDI creates a massive but very short duration spark, so the leads are designed to lengthen the spark or some shit. I may be talking out my ass here though
  16. I have some carburettors residing in chch that need a ride
  17. Come to Hamilton. Drink here. It will be fantastic. I not even be joking, gonna have a pretty sweet party here for all them people who are too dirt poor to go elsewhere
  18. Data cable along side power cable is poos too.
