rofl 13000rpm jag v12? that would take one hooge cheque book, You'll hardly notice the difference with the w56 etc just go for what ever you can find/ the one with the best 5th gear
-
16 points seems weird because the original megasquirt ran on an 8*8 table which means 64 points (which is plenty) megajolt etc is old hash anyway. The megasquirt extra code is where its at has 16*16 tables (256 points) and all the provision for different pick ups on different cars. I doubt that jaycar one could read half the factory senders the extra code does. With the exchange rate at the moment MS kits go for $250-$300NZ so still pretty cheap but you gotta be keen to learn something Also the carbs having better response/power what a load crap. formula atlantic 4ages went from carbs to injection in the later years and got similar power at way less revs

seems abit mint to butcher up never seen one with a trip computer before
-
should go chuck a powerglide behind it and leave the toyota stuff alone
-
epic ride, and top marks for that paint chop

I took a secret screen shot just so I can bring up how much of a noob you are at next nats

yea older car than my black one and that rear rust looks better than mine was then agian the older toyotas seem to be made of better steel. Who's going to do the work? oh yea and as said above the black shits the proper sealant
-
Cool cruiser and the auto behind these v8s is nice I'd leave it coronas for fanging. I tried my 18*9s and 8's on one of these crowns and they only just fit thats with around a 35 offset so 10 or 11's on the rear will be sweet theres heaps of clearance on the inside (none on the outside) fronts looked like around 9" was the limit without flares
-
yea super cool very lucky find on the wheels. on such a small car you could get away with less sidewall and then some slamage
-
from what Ive seen theres different generations of the w40 (this is going on looks rx12's etc have a weird extension on them) and at a guess they would would be the same gear set as the same gen w50. Toyota isnt big on making a whole different box for the 5 speeds its simply the base 4 speed with an extra gear
-
the old corona 4 speeds will be a w40 dont know exact number but some people have put decent power through them. Same gear set as a w50 so seach around and see what people have used them behind. ratios are * First Gear: 3.287:1 * Second Gear: 2.043:1 * Third Gear: 1.394:1 * Fourth Gear: 1.00:1 * Reverse: -4.091:1 determining factor for me would be if a bell housing is available off the shelf or will you have to cut 'n shut two together or make an adapter plate theres definitely a bell for later w55/57/58 boxes EDIT: dam beat me to it

nope will still need assembly which if you can read and solder its pretty easy tuning it should put you off more than assembly
-
that money will buy a megasquirt which has so much more control over spark than a jaycar kit its not funny
-
megasquirt will do it easy if your keen to learn some shit. or if the mitsi ecu's are like toyotas they will still put out a spark curve with only a handfull of senders plugged in.

well for a little fucking around I paid about $750 with the dollar at its peak. you could do a western union transfer for an extra $50. But $1200 is still sweet for new wheels just there not my first choice so wanted to spend as little as possible
-
Yea theres no secret any fool can get them, my old man has a mate there who can deal with all the shipping bullshit and they get here for way less than you'll pay from an importer. I mean the wheels are only $300US so that set on Trademe for $1200 is ridiculous. Exchange rate has gone gay though lucky I paid for them when it was near 80c got an email from usps saying there on the way 8-16 days mean

lols polished steelies with a clear coat boe its the new thing

Mike-e's 1975 Toyota Corolla KE20 Race Car
Spencer replied to thminiman's topic in Project Discussion
haha the 15's i gave him are old meshies with a good offset that should sit sweet with the wide diff and different struts. Dish isnt realy an option on the ke as it already has pumped guards to fit those fwd mags -
its almost as bad as a turbo 3a
-
Yea seen them on trademe but its way cheaper to import them in the US there only worth US $300 from this dude and his shipping quotes reasonable so mite rock them. also ordered some t3 gear to make up coilovers so I can slam it and get decent spring rates. Not getting the mx41 now to much work for the price so going to put some effort into this piece over the next few weeks
-
Yea was thinking of changing the front but mines grown on me hard looks mean on that 2 tone one above. Should wait and see if my wheels show up before I chuck heaps of money at this guys but looks to be sweet as they also do these but not as good offset
-
From a looks perspective irs rules but realy for handling when low the live will shit on that crappy trailing arm setup so it will do. Wheels are around $800 from a hook up shipped to your door. Found another parts car last week hardtop chaser with this front more wheels pics
