what would you be getting for that $600? Like all wiring? reverse light, tacho + other gauges etc? If its just the basic wiring to get it running that seems a little steep imo

If your certain it fits M series its a M to W50. Has the same bolt spacing for the box as that one in the pic, its just cos its got that yuck Holden bell over it.

Arg w50 is different to w55/etc, can't remember off the top of my head what the bolt pattern is like.. Yeah so that engine is a 4m and the gearbox would have been a W40. I assume W40 and W50 bells will be the same. yup yup only the rear housing is different on the steel case boxes.

also compare the bolt pattern in those pics of the gearbox to the bellhousings you've got to see if it suits a auto or manual box

4 and 5 speed W40/50 housings are the same. would be an M series bell by the description you've given me.

G bellhousing off a 1981 GX61 Chaser 1GEU motor. S bellhousing - SX6x Mark II, Cressida etc. Also C bellhousing the same - CA60 Carina wagon, CM30? Liteace with G52 gearbox (same bolt pattern as W series gearbox). Y bellhousing - YX70 Mark II wagon, YM30 Liteace with G52 gearbox (same bolt pattern as W series gearbox). Can be used on a S motor to put starter on other side of block if the top right hole is slotted See the hole in the top right is slightly lower than the S/C bellhousing. R bellhousing - RX30? Cressida M bellhousing - MA60, MA70 Supras
