  1. lack of setup really, lm7 5.3 v8,big cat(believe cat branded garret turbo),rx7 oil cooler. currently just single filter but will have to swap to a twin filter rig with the adapter?. also in the mix synapse 50mm gate, samson 50mm bov. unsure of my oil flow requirements for the turbo yet will have to go down the cat dealer/shop and poke some questions around, poss need high volume oil pump to i assume?
  2. hey chaps a bit green on this turbo stuff, have high pressure oil pickup coming out of a gallery by the filter on the sump, want to run a cooler and the turbo what order should i preceed in?, out of the gallery through cooler into turbo then drain? or should i run a filter adapter and run the cooling circuit independantly from the turbo circuit, by going adapter twin filter cooler then back into adapter?
  3. firewall out , tunnel out, 1 subframe connector mocked up, glide on and holley sump just buttoned up
  4. why not go to full throttle or similar they have beverages
  5. too late but this was my method, just had to tap the end of the bar at the socket end for it to release
  6. say a radiator has side tanks versus top tanks which will cool better? same size core same size tanks coolant flows the same distance
  7. http://user.online.be/~gd31496/Brakes.htm this guys used sd1 struts to go 5 stud on a tr7/8, might be a lead to follow plenty sd1's floating around in nz
  8. mean beans they look like the go for the puff, i'll have plenty heat coming through the firewall no doubt and the car won't likely be driven too often, but might look into a heating circuit to go in line, i'm guessing hairdryers just run a hot wire setup.
  9. just after ideas want to ditch the heater circuit due to firewall shift, was thinking of running twin 12v blowers (hairdryers, the guts at least) for the demisters unless theres other options out there opinions>
  10. if its lowered and you haven't got an adjustable panhard in there yet stop. your diff could be poked 20mm one way and give you the wrong measurements, depending on the look you want a 195 45 on a 14x8 would be the profile i'd go for. with 10mm poke outside the top guard lip you shouldn't have problems as your diff heads running out of room by the time you start getting to brads/tims wags rideheight. also remembering you can molest the twin skin rear wells as you don't have a pesky extra set of doors
  11. volvo 360 and up wagons especially
  12. looks like a good job maybe an indication of starting rate for the right applicant?
  13. older established suburbs with working class folks like dinsdale and glenview would be my pick, they have a bigger section size and don't have houses stacked on top of each other like legoland, http://www.trademe.co.nz/property/resid ... 624447.htm this place was owned by a lady that went to OZ its at the top end of the dinsdale market. Western heights is another option, All depends on your price bracket needs ad wats really.
  14. You can buy bumper filler, but you probably don't need to, you can do wonders with a heat gun and a dolly, just heating and pushing with the dolly from the inside out then give it a blast with a blow down gun to cool it off, if its a painted bumper I normally just give them a quick run over with a body file to smooth it all out then sand and paint. i put mine in a hot bath for a while and it popped back to original shape quite well, similarly i had sagging due to a stray mount that had then tweaked the whole bumper with the multiple heat cycles and weight of the end hanging off it.
  15. its just trailing arms hubs half shafts and head, will price one locally monday and compare.
  16. put a vacuum gauge on your trans line and see what its doing in neutral?

  19. bands in the oven at 50 degrees C for ten or so minutes should move them a bit
  20. i have a t5 on the tard at the mo, gearing may not be suitable tho and they quite big really, a box that runs a small diameter twin plate or similar clutch could be a go as you could drastically reduce the flywheel bellhousing size and tuck the starter up reverse mounted against your bell, or run standard flwheel but small diameter (7"?) clutch and just cut out the bell where you want to tuck the starter
  21. corrected there jesse you should really bring out and kill that commodore wagon, mark perhaps the skyline goon could be another candidate, Lib raced first year with a wof/reg you won't get tagged.
