  1. Ashley manifolds have been known to be hard to beat for performance once you've managed to get them to fit... but don't expect them to last particularly long.
  2. http://www.governorsbayhotel.co.nz/inde ... ar-sundays Thought I'd drop in and mingle a bit...
  3. Next time, http://www.yotatech.com/f128/pilot-bear ... eo-186422/
  4. One of the lads at my old motor club road rallied one. It went rather well... front sus needs beefing up for the extra weight though.
  5. I can tell you from experience that it you wire up 100/55 H4's so both filaments are on full beam, the earth pin melts.
  6. Condensor? Leads? Leads are pretty simple to check. swap a couple and see if the misfire follows.
  7. Dan, check with Jules. She'll sort you out with Mark.
  8. Sorry Felix, was up for it for sure and intending to join up at the Wheatie. Just had fun getting home last time. Had to drive fast to keep the screen clear...
  9. Early tarmac spec APs will fit for sure... or Mote Carlo's. Fit over 260mm discs IIRC. Edit: IIRC the Capri Owners Club in the UK do a system on 280mm discs that *just* fit under 13's
  10. Gp4 is what you want! That's the one. Found it today, so if you want to try it, let me know.
  11. I've probably got an old one here if it's any use. Alternatively I've got a gp.4 one if you want to replace it?
  12. +1 for Naith @ Absolution +1 for him from Jules as well (:
  13. I'll pick you up round by the Wheatie. Weekend owners of said pub are no longer there / nor are the 'friends' they welcomed. What time will you be there??
  14. More luck with 13's???
  15. Don't quote me but I think it's the same fitting as the 2.3 cologne that was fitted to the Mk.4/5 cortina. So maybe a 2.9 cosworth (BOA/BOB) would fit as well???
  16. 65 minx will probably be an inertia starter, so a dirty worm gear may be causing the lack of engagement. But I reckon CJ's on the money about the solenoid.
  17. Why? The tower is there as there isn't enough space to put it on the bulkhead, so you'd need a remote one. Unless you're upgrading to larger discs, I'd stick with the M16's and put decent pads in... well, I'd use vented 2.8i capri disks and spacers on the calipers.
  18. Chris, has the design of tyres changed since the time 185/60x13 was a real sporty tyre? We used to run 28-30psi then...
  19. Had a knocking at over 50mph once. Turned out to be an elastic band stuck in the tyre...
  20. Could get the new toy out... if you don't mind an OAP (: On the North Road?
  21. Hi Chris, when not extremely poor, I'll be after a set of something decent. OE is 185-70x13, so 185/60 04 maybe 205/60?? No hurry though but the current ones are dated 1997...
  22. Glad someone mentioned BRAKES as the first thing to upgrade... You can get into so much trouble with a standard 1600 crossflow. Don't worry about more power, just work on stopping, steering, suspension first. Cheers, Steve
  23. As a start, I'd get it up to temperature, leave it idling for a few minutes and look underneath.
