  1. How I've always done this type o thing: 1) make desired shape and take a mold off this. For simplicity's sake, let's say it's a 2 part mold. 2) spray release and lay up your fibreglass on the inside, trim edges to level of mold. 3) lay up a layer around the join edge. this goes half in the mold on the layers you've laid up and the other half gets squashed between the mold faces. 4) once it's cured, open the mold and trim the flashing. The outside then has a nice finish.
  2. cut 2 coils from front struts jam under accelerator win/win
  3. It's a chemistry thing. not my best subject but when iron oxidizes the oxygen takes electrons from it. negative earth floods the iron with electrons making it harder to rust. I'm sure someone can explain better but that's how I understand it
  4. If it's 15V AC then 12-14V DC probably won't be adequate, 15V AC makes about 21V DC. I used to run a ghetto blaster in a car and it worked fine, but that was designed to run off 8 D cells. I didn't have problems with interference, not to say you won't. Probably best to try it before you strip it out.
  5. Rather than run two wires from the battery, just run the main thick wire from the battery to the 12v terminal on the amp, then a small wire from that to the remote terminal via a switch.
  6. Everyone says 'this is definitely the way to do it, that way will wreck your motor', but surely someone in a shop somewhere has taken two identical brand-new bikes, thrashed one and nannied the other, then done a compression test?
  7. the only time i seen those words together before was to do with industrial light and magic. This is how i bedded the new rings in on my scoot the other day. read basically the same thing years ago when i rebuilt a crossflow. I then read a running in guide that said the opposite and i was like shit have i done the wrong thing, but now i feel good again.
  8. I have super sweet memories of hooning round manchester off my tits in my mates one, melting into those leather seats. massive tardus hatch spec impressed me with its ability to swallow all our band gear. night safari is a nighttime electric train ride around a massive zoo.sounds gay as but all the big cats etc are out and theres no fences just invisible trenches its really well done.
  9. one of you buy a XM pls oh and kk if you haven't done it and nobody's told you yet, you must go on the night safari in singapore it's mega
  10. you'll probably want to reassemble with the old gasket and check valve clearances etc to see if you can take any more off it.
  11. I put these in all my shitty old cars when I was in England: http://www.maplin.co.uk/ignition-amplifier-kit-3162 cheap as and made starting/running so smooth. means almost no power goes through the points too so they don't get pitted. not sure if they ship to nz
  12. I've got some blue tint ones and I like the light they give but my WOF man told me they aren't legal (still passed me though cos he's a gc)
  13. Cam's teat LHM also makes very nice cheese btw.
  14. No experience but the eaton is slightly more efficient which means you could run a bit higher cr or a bit more boost or it might mean the difference between intercooler or no. Do the bigger eatons not have clutch like the m45?
  15. choise car my mate's dad had one of these in the 80s love the sound of the sidies gurgling gas
  16. what he said try running a wire direct from battery -ve to ecu -ve
