Perhaps the clutch linkage could be moving too far? I once unnecessarily pulled out a gearbox I'd just put in because of this.

I had to cut the crimped ends off a new hose from BNT and use normal tails due to the leaks. Where do you get those clips?

Barbs and hose clamps will work fine. You really should have some line between the compressor and water trap to let the air cool down and the water condense.

On a drive back from the local beach around new years the brakes weren't working too well. A bit of testing when home suggested that the booster wasn't working (big vac leak at idle) Pulled it off which wasn't too hard and had a look. Decided that stripping it was in the too hard basket so took it to a brake shop in Wellington After a couple of weeks they declined to work on it because it was a 'treadle vac' system. It isn't actually, just the standard (for the time) Midland Ross booster. It seems these are a bit different as the have atmo pressure on the M/C side which is unusual? Anyway I talked to CBC in Christchurch who said they could sort a booster rebuild for $650 (not too bad as when I looked the booster parts kit was USD250). Eventually cost just on 1k with shipping and work needed on the M/C too. Got it back in the car, the pedal clip was a pain in the ass to get reinstalled but hopefully it's in there now. Extended bleeding session followed. I hoped to get away with doing just one side but eventually needed to do all 4 wheels. The old brake fluid was a bit grot so worthwhile anyway. All working again, did a bit of driving locally over the weekend. WOF expired on Friday, and it's gone back into the storage shed down the road for now. Also lost the cap for the M/C so it's covered with glad wrap and insulation tape for now. Will have to go to PaP sometime I suppose.

I thought it would be marginal, the earlier ones are maybe 140km range? I don't think a charging location is assured at the Ashburton end.

What's the best option for a long open road commute, Christchurch - Ashburton daily, about 80km each way? Possibly not the best route for a hybrid / aqua? Is the E-note still recommended @Willdat??

The virm has this as a note. However I've never had a problem with the rear belts in my 71 car on factory mounts. They weren't oem fitted. An original equipment seatbelt anchorage is an anchorage that was installed by the vehicle manufacturer at the time the vehicle was manufactured, and was fitted with a seatbelt by the vehicle manufacturer at the time the vehicle was manufactured.
