  1. four wheel drums.. nasty! handbrake on front too I take it? much rust other than on the floor? awesome sedan
  2. probably not from a 4x4 L200 as the transfer case will be hanging off the back of the gearbox.
  3. any 80W90 GL-5 oil is fine for your mitsi for the gearbox, and I think the diff uses either straight 80W or 90W. Let me know what oils you use, as I'm going to change my gearbox and diff oil and want something decent
  4. 4G64s have a bigger bore and the block is 6mm taller too, to accomodate the 12mm longer stroke. SOHC 4G64 heads have massive combustion chambers and bigger valves apparently - according to austarion anyway.
  5. And which DOHC 4G64 are you talking about? DOHC 6 bolt 4G64s = non existant
  6. I must say, the wheels on the cressy look pimpn did someone tax the rear springs/shocks?
  7. I can't go will be working all weekend it seems, we are so short staffed at the moment it's not funny as for your dent kerryn call around some of those paintless dent repair places, my parents had a dent similar taken out of their diamante for about $100, they get to the dent from the inside and massage the metal back to shape.
  8. Haha so much for a couple weeks notice
  9. Only turbo RWD is wideblock, turbo FWD/4WD is narrowblock also. He's running a 4G62 originally out of a FWD Cordia so his engine is narrowblock, so basically he's open to alot of gearbox choices such as Sigma 2L, L200, Lancer/Celeste 1.6L etc
  10. fuck dude you really know how to pick the right engines eh
  11. haha yeah cunt you should have come tell davey to make it the same weekend the auckland meet is on, two birds with one stone stz for us out of towner boes
  12. Yeah your engine is narrow block while Starion turbo (and Eterna/Galant turbo RWD) are wideblock so wont bolt up at the bellhousing. 4G37 would have bolted to your gearbox cause it has the exact same block as the 4G32 which was originally in there. I don't think 4G11 bolts up to 4G32/4G63 gearbox.
  13. Yeah I've got kings in the front of my yellow beast, they are just standard 'low' springs but are a bit stiffer, they have already sagged and aren't captive in my struts but the ride isn't too bad, could do with more of a drop though.
  14. Find some spare springs and chop them to get it to desired ride height in the mean time while you sort out proper springs
  15. I don't think anyone would make a heavy duty clutch for an EX Lancer eh, apart from the turbo models. Other than taking pressure plates off the shelf and comparing it, there's not alot you can do. The flywheels on the 4G3x series have 5 bolt pattern while 4G6x is 6 bolt up to '92. I recall the clutch plate itself being the same on my old 4G37 Galant and my old '85 Cordia GT Turbo which had the 4G62 - but I can't say for certain if the pressure plates are the same.
  16. man had to rescue this from a couple pages back. As for the brakes, you could just get the rotors skimmed and some new pads. Those rear calipers look to be the same funny ones from S110 silvias - so long as you have good pads in the rear you shouldn't need to do an upgrade. There is/was an S110 at pick a part in auckland with what looked to be brand new rear brakes (new rotors, pads etc), its a shame you're far away. when I first got the Eterna new rotors were going to be minimum $300 each for the front, I ended up just getting them machined for $30 and fitted heavy duty pads and it pulls up mint. It's looking good on those wheels
  17. there are a few things which will affect the clutch pedal feel, the EX is cable clutch and am not sure if the barina is cable clutch too. If you have a heavy duty pressure plate that usually gives a firm feel to it. my daily driver 93 Galant has a real firm clutch, as it uses the same clutch and pressure plate as a VR-4, whereas my Eterna clutch is also quite soft.
  18. yeah I saw them now just as I got home.. they must have got a mean deal cause they are selling below what it costs us to get them in.
  19. says the one who is at home SICK
