  5. Throw away the single Cam turd, and fit a CA18det. Also, do a manual conversion. That is all. I owned a factory turbo CA18eT one of these once. I paid $12.50 for it from the local council. (Abandoned vehicle tender) It looked like it had been reversed into a pole at 160 miles an hour. It had one really mint tyre on it.The rest of the car was poos.

  9. BNT, or ring cockram nissan in CHCH, and ask for Scott. He's a datsun guy, and he can be fucked looking up the parts books. I got a new hose for my sunny from BNT, but I took in a sample. It was off something else though. And it was $55, that was the best price they could do.
  10. Sweetbix. That should have the smaller ports too. Pull your rockers while you're in there, and see if it has the adjustable rockers, and "920" (I think) heads. I'm no expert, but I'd wager it'll use less gas that your other SBM.

  13. My shitfiro did this. It had a blown diode in the alternator. So the feilds were permanantly energized. Swapped it, and tickity boo! Try disconnecting the power supply from the Alternator, and see it the draw goes away.

  16. Sunny rear coils are poos. True story. I once rode in a sunny that was scraping with three in the back, and it was standard! My sunny came with Cobra coils in the rear when I bought it. I think they're made by chamberlains? But yeah, chuck in some springs from a heavier car, and cut to suit.

  19. I like the 265 hemi idea! But seriously, an SR ticks so many many boxes. BUt as I said, keep that L23 lad. Put it in the shed at your folks house. One day, you can freshen it up, chuck it back in, and ell your car back to japan. Datsuns/old nissans are for life, not just for christmas.

  21. SU's are a sweet sweet carb when set up properly. Very responsive, and good on gas when driven nice too. Although the manifold I was refering to was this one
  22. Sparkle-san, Dat620 at NZ datsun has a single 40mm sidedraft on his 620. Since the J series motors were just BMC motors built under license, the BMC manifold fits! PS, Do a skid bro!
