  1. Just realising I haven't been on here for a while.. :/ Rust in the front sill and boot has all been fixed up ages ago - guess I didn't update. But there is starting to be a little bit of bubbling coming through on the top windscreen corner
  2. Wow, haven't been on here for a while. Cant say I have done much with the car apart from re wiring the radio so it doesn't reset every time you take the key out. ( Remembers Josh telling me that it just always does that - Finally doesnt) My jimmies are now rested. Cleared up the interior rear sill not to long ago. Got some custom board and cut to shape. Although the alternator has gone on me and left me to a rolling stop the other week. Battery completely flat. Charged up battery, and that is now good again. On the look out for something to fix that up. Got cash haha.
  3. Confirmed, guys that done it found that straight away and are working on it now, said they may need steel gaskets so it wont happen again. Edit Steel gaskets put on and the noise is instantly fixed and a smoother ride.
  4. Thanks for that, the dude who done the exhaust/extractors is gonna have a look at it this monday
  5. Yes, and as the engine quietens and slow, the "clicking" becomes louder and faster. Means and exhaust/extractor leak or loose?
  6. On the look out for one of those manuals. Lifted up the front carburettor where the air goes in and the "clicking" instantly stops.. (car still goes and slowly starts to die) does this mean it is a carb issue?
  7. I could be keen for this, Just depends on NCEA exams. I know they are November-ish You probably know Felixx
  8. And it came suddenly as of last night, but I guess its more louder now , or I just listen for it too much..
  9. LHS when in drivers seat* sorry. Is a worn timing chain an easy fix or not? Clicking wasn't too loud. Clicks slow and easily noticeable over engine noise at idle.
  10. Cruising around yesterday, and after about 70kms, there was a mysterious clicking noise coming from the right hand side under the bonnet. Coming from either: -Carbs? -Extractors? -Anything around this area of the car?? Speed of ticking would increase while accelerating, but there was a certain time when it wouldn't click. Going around 80kmp/h it would hush.. A15 Datsun Engine. Twin SU style carbs. New custom made extractors... Recently oiled them, and still needing to find air filters so anyone with some 1 1/4" ram flows or similar wanting to sell would be nice too Should I be concerned or not?
  11. Turned out I needed new front springs Picked some up for $100 and put them in. They lifted the front up by 2-3 inches and now the back looks as if it has no springs in at all. Now I have the WOF, I will just need to find some time and a hand swapping the springs back around to get it back to normal.
  12. Guess I will have to get the specs for it oneday, whenever time allows
  13. Took it in for a WOF, New list again.. -Rear brake light broken -Brakes veer left -Rear indicator light broken -Front springs loose I take it the lights broke at the panelbeaters? I dont know. I will be playing with the front strut this afternoon to sort the springs out
  14. Ride with you Felix? My Datsuns steering wheel isn't quite attached at the moment and about time I came along to a meet.
  15. Lovin the ride height, and that bozo exhaust.... haha
