  1. I can also show people how to use it, maybe bring laptop to burgerfuel meet and I/we can show you? can also search youtube for tutorials
  2. Maybe YouTube? Alternatively night class or someone could teach you, a shame 105 doesn't still live with you
  3. nah draftsight, shits exactly the same but legit free
  4. I will find the couple that I have And for anyone wanting to try drawing their own flanges, use a program called Draftsight http://www.3ds.com/products/draftsight/overview/ For people who know Autocad, it is 99.9% the same except legitimately free, made by Dassault (Solidworks company) because they got pissed off with Autodesk charging so much for Autocad For people who dont know, it will take a bit of mucking around but it is a very capable program for making line drawings of things such as flanges. Anything drawn in this program can be sent to companies for laser cutting as a .dxf or .dwg format. You might be able to learn something and get a better price for laser cutting yourself Also, as with many others here, I can draw things up if needed From my experience, a 10mm steel flange cut to within 0.1mm costs around $50 when laser cutting with a usable drawing supplied
  5. me and chris talked about library ages ago but we are obvisouly too lazy to go any further I wonder if I am the only person on earth to have an inlet flange in 3d and 2d cad for a 1300 motor in an 808 haha
  6. i wonder how much power a cambelt can transmit?
  7. why not tensioner on vee belt section? so easy, then you can rev the engine obnoxiously, which incidentally is half the purpose of velo bikes
  8. good job mark, is this direct drive or did i miss something? if it is, how do you get on with starting?
  9. he was from wellington so maybe you know him
  10. you have alot of manifold vacuum at motorway speeds too, which supposedly means more efficient running http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ignition_t ... ng_advance
  11. This event is way too close for me, but i really need to get another mountain bike so I can join in this stuff because its such good fun
  12. damn thats a nice looking car, properly a favorite of mine.
  13. my vac advance pulses at anything below about 2k rpm, I have 1/8" NPT fittings on each runner. Didnt really notice any difference with or without
  14. cool pics, was a sweet afternoon thanks for having us wellington
  15. was there any pics from droming on saturday?
  16. 2nd gear didnt work as well as I had hoped, it should be ok though, just some more toy around
  17. probably best bet is to go talk to them about it first and haggle a price, then go take it off the car after
  18. I think mine is set at 2? Its up too much if at idle you see fuel erupting out around the jet Because i have a strut brace, it makes air filters really hard, so I dont run anything. But guys either run individual filters which are generally considered to be detrimental to performance, or ITG filters which are quite expensive ~$300 and you have to cut and drill the holes to suit the carbs, which dont really have a good method of being attached to the carbs. Best option really is to make an airbox if you feel the need to have a filter IMO
  19. yeah i find my escort reasonably bad around town on gas but great on the open road, what size jets did you end up with?
