Got the rubber from para rubber from memory

Surely there are some tests you can do to see where a problem might be? Take it out of the car and bench test it with other known good components Or at least you could contact them and ask

The tablet is legit in my car, its not been a problem. Looking at reviews on other tablets yesterday though, it looks like some do suffer from poor brightness or too much reflection, so probably worth considering when looking I'm not sure a windows tablet and tunerstudio would be any good tbh, its hard enough fiddling with a laptop in a car, and you have a trackpad, using a tablet with a mouse sounds horrible

OK, so no one has advice for tablet or apps @yoeddynz I will look into the bluetooth thing, but my msdroid would just crap the bed all the time and was unusable, especially if I added a non-standard gauge. I will do some more research on the other megasquirt apps

Do any of you guys use an android tablet/an app for reading the mega squirt as a removable in car dash? I have a 2014 nexus 7 and used msdroid in the past, but msdroid became super flaky and the nexus seems real slow these days. considering selling the nexus and getting a newer tablet/ also considering new software

Nah, doesn't seem to be a file for that, you can add it though! If you are unable to draw the part yourself but have the dimensions, I can draw it up for you for laser cutting etc

I have taken the access panel off my mk1 escort fuel tank, and it was in surprisingly good condition. At any rate, it was just a bit of cork, wouldn't be too hard to make one yourself

make sure nothing is blocked, need to blow everything out. And there is nothing in the tank that could float/move around and get picked up every so often? Next time it happens, turn the car off for a few minutes and start it again, see if it goes away for a while

do you know what modern cars afr/timing tables look like? could also be a good comparison In my mind, some modern cars are running like 18:1 at cruise or even leaner. No basis as to where I got that info from though

from memory, one of my mounts was extended 10mm and angled about 12 degrees

Ah yeah you will need special/different mounts then. Slightly longer and slightly angles to match the original face. If you had some thick steel lying around, like 10mm, you may be able to make up a spacer too
