  1. Yeah kephos is just a general name for the same product. /autocorrect called it keyphos The stuff I buy for work is actually called bonderite Rajohnson sell it by 4 litre containers
  2. Cavity wax is the modern version of fish oil. Theres not really a bad cavity wax tbh. They all do the same job. But that's a very last job. Once no more paint needs doing as it can cause problems with fish eyes
  3. Epoxy isnt a a sealer anymore all automotive epoxy are porous . The only one that was used to be the old green galsurit one. Now because of health a s saftey rules the epoxy as good as they used to be. 6 months is shelf life for a repair in epoxy. longer than that you need to strip it back and recoat. The best way to seal stuff that's gonna be sitting for more then 6 months is to epoxy then slam a coat of cheap 2k over top But also this is just the internet and I'm no expert so do as you please. This is just how we work doing restoration work. Edit: buy some keyphos and just keyphos the bare metal till your ready to epoxy all your repairs at the same time and start the paint process . But this also needs to be stripped fully as it's not ideal to paint over
  4. @J4m13 We can do stuff like that at work Auto restorations ltd Depends how much you want to spend to repair it. Could be as much as half a day by the time theres cleaning welding. Rewelding where it goes shitty. And dressing back. It's quite doable
  5. Ask @fletch how he fixed one of Karl's datsuns the day before hanmer
  6. Of you can find one second hand The lincon 130t or 170t are a great wee unit I've got a 130t at home. Surprisingly grungy for a little welder. But good for fine stuff
  7. Doesnt look like you've seam sealed or under sealed the underside? You'll have issues with rust bleeding out pretty quick if it ever gets wet Also the stonegaurd/underseal helps a lot with noise dampening
  8. Probably gets warm enough that water wont be an issue
  9. Yes. But not gonna fallover/apart Weve got one at work and provided it's on a flat surface and weighted correctly it's pretty good. Have had some pretty big stuff on it
  10. @Bluebear01 how much power does a 1uz in a ms112 make
  11. @RUNAMUCK should make sure to have a 620 running for this. @- i5oogt - can finally find out how little power the doortced makes
  12. Have you contacted your local vcc? You might be surprised what people have sitting in garages. You might be able to source a correct radiator that requires a clean or shortening
  13. Nzefi in chch sonic clean and test them for not an unreasonable amount of money from memory
  14. I've got the datsun 1600 bbq trailer so could bring that at cook up a storm. Bring a pack of snags ect
  15. Pickapart is your friend in this situation. I think rav4 have 2 pretty grunty 2 speed fans that are detachable from each other. Otherwise I've walked around with a tape measure and just found something that works Even better is if you get the loom and temp probe for the radiator and theyll come on and off like a factory setup. I've got galant electric fan and probe in my ms65 and it keeps it cool and comes on and off like a facotry setup. And doenst look out of place My 2c
  16. Wanna make me a kitchen before you ruin it?
  17. Oof gsxr 750? I've got a new toy that when I've finished painting it will look good parked next to it at some point too
  18. Hq are only 5x120 If its actually 5x5" it will be pretty limited to old American stuff
  19. That's old 60s and 70s pontiac /Chevrolet. As far as getting a pair of wheels.... Future proofing is probably better to go 5x114.3 and use a toyota/nissan steel wheel. Might be a bit of outlay to change the hubs. But will save headaches further down the line
  20. Thanks I've cleaned it with contact cleaner. Just spray it off I suspect the alternator was unwell as it also stopped charging a week ago. Replacement alternator still does it. Just not as bad. I should go get some terminal protector .
  21. Its a hydraulic controlled. No ecu. Non lockup. So just a a43d . It's off the back of a 5mge so the converter will prob be pretty good for the 4v. Will need someone whose more clued up that myself about bellhousing/converter
