AP also do a normal shock and spring setup for 40/30 and 60/40 which is why I suggested them. It's a shame they are such a pain about coilovers in NZ but what can you do. PM replied to.
-
If you are looking for a spring and shock setup, it's hard to beat the AP Suspensions kits. If no one can help you with those trims I might be able to. Are you looking for the trims on the outside of the doors? And is it for late or early model or big bumper?

Might actually see if I can make it to this.

Sorry to hear about that man, especially after all that's happened with this car.

I'd be spraying with a gun if you can. Spray can paints are very thin. 2k would be even better. If you want a glassy finish you'll have to layer it on pretty thick. I've seen it done with a rusted boot lid and it looked pretty cool. Will see if I can find a photo.

Glad to see the photos. Miss being at these. I believe the next one will be the day after I get back to NZ so see you all there. -
I am 99% sure that car lives around the corner from my parents' house. I met the owner at a Meremere event once and then once after when I was towing my E28 home when the clutch went. Haha.
-
Thought exactly the same thing. Haha.
-
I will be back just in time for this, planning to be there one way or another.
-
To be honest supercharger would be even cooler.
-
Interested to see where this goes. You should put a massive turbo on the 1.3.
-
I've only got one thing to say. Pictures, no, videos of skids please. Watch out for the po po.

Cool project Slideways, will be following.

Sidewaysickness BMW E30 of sideway sickness.

You will have a Getrag 260, most likely a 260/5. Easy way to tell is the on the side on the gearbox near the clutch slave cylinder is a code that tells you. It should have a sheet metal type shifter. Jib05 on here has done a M50 swap with Getrag 260 in his E30, might be worth talking to him about what exactly you need to do. -

That photo above looks like something out of the original Driver games on PS1. Awesome. -

I wish I was there just to witness that photo in person. -
Looking forward to seeing how this works out. It's like Need For Speed in real life. You have to get a colored purge going.
-
Right, I understand.
-
Not seperated, but I have had a jumper hooked up along with the battery. What would that do?
-
Yep checked spark at plugs both after the distributor cap and have put plug on the lead right off the coil. Only time I got any spark was when the plug was right on the coil and just when I turn the key off it sparks quickly. There is definitely fuel going into the motor so fuel isn't the problem. To prove it, the plug I pulled had fuel all over it after I was trying to get it to fire. Not really any chance of a pinched wire between the motor and box because 1. no wires go there (unlike on the older motors) and 2. it was running after I put the gearbox back in and I had both looms completely out and back in so would have noticed. Hahaha. I appreciate the help and replies so far though guys.

Yep, my sensor worked perfectly in my friend's car with the same motor. And the ECUs as well. I personally swapped them and started the car.
-
Yep. But there is that issue of when the crank sensor is plugged in, the voltage to the 5v pin drops to 0.4v or so. I haven't been able to find the cause of this issue yet, it does it with both sensors I tried.

I seriously hope so but somehow I doubt it'll be that easy.
