I never saw it, just read about it in the papers at the time.

I remember some Gore boys having a go at the Catlins Rally in a V8 coon way back. Think they crashed out in about the second stage somewhere near Tawanui. Snow may have been involved.

Not even sure where I'm going to be then but keen as to see @Lord Gruntfuttock and his mates booting the whale up the hill.

Only to the first pole from the boundary as I understand it. I'm pretty sure we had to pay a not inconsiderable sum for several new poles and other stuff when we upgraded the supply to the cowshed here in the 1970s.

Site topography here in Northland would tend to rule that out unfortunately.

I know there are a few sparkies and other assorted electrical workers on here. I am in need of a bit of advice in that area. We have an overhead electric power supply to a farm water reticulation pump. This consists of four wires strung on poles in the usual manner over a length of 200 or so metres. This installation is approximately sixty-five years old. An electrical contractor has suggested that it may be necessary to replace these overhead wires in the very near future. Can any of you guys give me even a rough ballpark figure for the cost to do this please? The poles appear to be good so as far as we know at this stage it would be just a matter of replacing the wires, probably with aluminium, and maybe the cross arms and insulators.

An admirable approach, particularly from the viewpoint of future availability of replacement parts.

Lawn mower tank with a hose gravity feeding the carb. I've driven a car home like that before.

I think they suit it quite well.

Is it possible to make a machine feel the intense sensations resultant from shelving a pineapple?

But Dan's niece isn't on there.

That's the same colour as one of mine that I rode in the mid 90s. It's still hanging in one of the sheds at my parents' place. -

Got a few fucked BMX bikes here you could have. -
It's not like in the UK where it depends on how much of the donor vehicle is used in the new build?

Random slightly cool stuff you built but not worth its own thread, thread

5 minutes each? You're a machine. -
Realistically pretty much anything pre 2000 is probably OS now. Even the VCC has a rolling thirty year rule.

I'm the same age as you Dan. We have a lot of years to go yet.

I have that bulldozer kit. It has been sitting about 85% complete for near on forty years.

Could be difficult to prove though.

Sad thing is some people actually believe that shit.
