Tristans 1973 Triumph 2500 PI Saloon
Tumeke replied to triumph...tristan's topic in Project Discussion
PI Lyfe. Note the interior has leather front seats only available on the PI. Be a shame to ditch em. If you do decide to get rid of the carpet giz to me cause mine's black and i don't like it (racist) Must get rid of many cars so that I can work on mine again. -

I'd say MG Metro. -
Swap meat is average too. I guess the funds are going to a cause, but would be better off with a bucket for coins, especially considering that Caffeine and classics has a bit more of everything for nothing each month.

Pretty sure there was an A series on his trailer.

My understanding is yes. Rear pillars changed. Different glass and boot lid needed. Seamed across roof per @Mr Burns will have to use his blog to answer more when he can.

Yep - started life as 323i coupe. Real guards from BMW Germany stitched in per factory. Fibre glass bootlid from Lockwood homes M3. New rear glass, etc. Motor TBA.

It wasn't just Rover. I've found early BMW spoilers to be the same construction technique.

Brit & Euro Car Show - Sunday 4th March - Pakuranga
Tumeke replied to vivaspeed's topic in Upper North Island Region
You have to reserve a club spot so nah. May pest along and just be a pubic. From memory the carpark is usually better than the show anyway. -
Make it road legal and me and @chris r will help you bring it to nats cause we are GCs. Such Helpful. Much blue smoke.

Need new tires so stuck the old Humber 15"s on and test drove in the rain. Note to self: Needs wipers. Also chrome fell off around the windscreen. Not surprised as this stuff is terrible to get stuck on properly. Will re attempt. Tyres also now have air thanks to @Threeonthetree. Few other things to tidy up for a WOF check, but all and all much closer now.

Finished under the car: (both sides it turns out, didn't photograph the other side) This is now underseal bitumix black to blend in with the rest of the crap. Found a hole in the sill, so did a quick repair of that too Cleaned up the clutch slave and slammed that back in. Need someone to come pump it pls (and the clutch) Note the years of 'character' and a reminder i need to put a split pin in. (the pic is also upside-down) At this point I brought another car and got some colour match paint and finished around the windscreen. Being cheap, I re-used the old seal and popped it back in. Not the most fun job The seal hides most of the repairs, but you can see the green at the bottom of the screen is a pretty good match. I also re-wired the fog lights as after a bit of multi-metering discovered the old switch is on the blink. I also repaired rust in a few other places, bottoms of guards, wheel arch inner etc. Phone went on the blink so didn't take photos. Next to do is rear wheel cylinder looks leaky, find a couple of tires, refit dash, try driving it. I Might have (30%) found a car that I quite want, so this car may be part of a swap arrangement. Motivation to finish it off this month, however gotta work round a pretty busy work schedule.

@Carsnz123 should have 5 Datsuns on the road by then too. Much mean machinery at his 'olman's place.
