  1. There was one small hiccup, went out to fortress to buy some more bronzed ss screws only to find there were non in the country, fuck. Luckily they had some straight ss in stock (phew) Cue alchemy.. What I wanted, What I got, Magic, Produces this, Then this, X2 of these..... Sigh*
  2. Then it was time to finally finish the cladding (only taken 4 years) Started with the easiest bit to see if my technique would work. Literally just a 46deg over bevel with some epoxy glue, clamped, then screwed. Came out better than I expected.. Carry on.
  3. Re-routed the sewer breather, Could just get my grinder in there to spilt the old pipe out (carefully, don't want a blockage) Another thing to tick off the list, need to re-route the down pipes too but need to find the same bends.
  4. Yes, still toiling away.. Had some things going on the last 6 weeks plus some rain days. Feels like some weekends I get fuck all done.. Actually, that's most weekends. Anyway, Got the last bit under the back stairs done a while back, just cleans it all up. Not much to look at. Framed, Luckily my driver just for under the cladding to drill the dowel holes. Would have been a cunt otherwise. So that really does make the bottom finished. Thank fuck.
  5. I'm hanging for another ferrymead pest.. Train spec.
  6. I was gonna buy one of those modern cheapish vices but I then went to the vcc swap meet and found a hercules #5 for 70 bucks. It's been very well used and I've given it a beating but still it lives on. Get an old one if you can.
  7. We did start getting letters from the supplier once I started closing everything in.
  8. Yeah, although any escaped gas has been free to wander for the last 4 years..
  9. You've got no idea who's been tightening shit over the years.. Got this Italian bloke who works for us and he fucken overtightens everything all the time. Its like he has to prove he can get it tighter than anyone else. Maybe the previous owner had small man syndrome.. or he was italian, maybe both, they seem to go hand in hand.
  10. Yeah as above I was also about to say. The grooves were originally used down so the timber could breathe and didn't rot between the connections. Somewhere along the line some suit decided it was good for grip and is now policy to have it up. From my experience it can be fucken dangerous when wet with less surface area for your shoe to grip, especially when in a shaded spot. Hardwood is even worse and on some jobs we've had to put put sand down to make it safe (while we're there anyway). We used antislip tape along the front edge of any steps when we built our deck, mainly for oldies.
  11. I was thinking more like putting one in those paint mixing machines they have at bunnings/miter 10.
  12. Wouldn't fairly severe vibration work too? Or more ultrasonic spec.
  13. The amount of times I've spent hours making shit only to realise it won't work...
  14. I was thinking of doing the same sort of thing as you, albeit merging before the flexi. After doing a heap of research a bell mouth seemed to be the better idea so as to reduce pressure post turbo and having a separate pipe for the wastegate was pointless. As long as the transitions from turbo to exhaust are nice and smooth with no sharp bends wastegate pipes are best left for externals.
  15. I'd bash the dumpy before fucking with the booster..
  16. That is exactly what I was about to say...
  17. So what would those meager flaps actually achieve?
