Is that 4cylinder flathead a runner? is this going to be a compleat resto?, I like the rusty look
There is a flathead v8 sitting under a few sheets ot tin outside at my place and it still turns over
Yer all the load of the engine and trans bouncing up and down, the shaft would have been the only thing stopping it from crashing down onto the road,
Would a GM trans fit?
Thats a nasty crack, I wouldn't try to fix it with those low temperature repair rods, the crack must have caused some misalignment and strain to make those metal flakes in the oil
I saw segedins were selling bigger pulleys for slowing the alternator down, I thought one of the good things about alternators is they would charg at any speed?
Some hot rods run them off the driveshaft

Sorry I didn't say they start at $45, I have bought a few off them but they didn't seem to cost over $45 and I got quit a bit sealed battrey witch would have cost over $200 somewhere elce
Those sealed lead acid batterys last a long time, I found a place in auckland witch sells them for $45 each as they have been sitting at auto shops too long and they need to move them fast, they have a 12 month warranty.
I have allways wondered with Flowmaster and Spinntec they say it helps suck the gas out, I carn't see this happening or believe it, I think a Spinntec would be realy restrictive, same with a Suppertrapp.
Have you started making the extractors yet? I live your twin carb setup, dose it have 4 exhaust ports or 2?
Might need to do some of this if you take the motor apart
