bonkas
Hey Guys, I have issues with some Dual DHLA 45's I just bought. One of these has had the mount break off and welded back on which didnt seem an issue until they arrived and I had a close look. The barrell (Is that what it's called) seems out of shape and has been built up with some material to try and get it round so the throttles will seal, this has flaked away somewhat and one side no longer seals on the carb. Can this be fixed? I will get some pics when I get home tonight.

bonkas
Weber specs reckon it can be fixed for $300, re-bore and re-sleeve job.

It's never going to be as nice as a new and it sounds a little steep for a sleeve. Depends how much you love it ?
bonkas
Havent used them yet, just getting them in a workable state and ready for my engine build in progress. I hope I like them! I have always wanted a pair of sidedraft's on something

Evan
It's hard to tell in the pics how bad it is. Are you in Auckland? Pull it to pieces and have @Mr Vapour Vapour blast it for you so it looks A+, get a new throttle shaft and bearing set from somewhere on the internet (Ebay, chances are that throttle shaft isn't straight which is making the situation worse). slap it all back together and see how bad it is then - it might be usable as is.
