Wasup dudes! So i sold my Mk2 escort and was looking for somthing abit more sideways capable, was mostly looking a non turbo fl s14's as they were in my budget, Then i stumbled across this Beaut :wink: Id always wanted a mx5/miata since i had first got my license! It was alot cheaper then a silvia so i had alot more money left over to spend on it :-D Drove to auckland with a mate to check it out, ended up driving it home haha Leave a comment on what you guys think! and any ideas on options to get some more lock :-)

Specs are :

1989 Mazda mx5 jdm import

1600 175xxx on the clock. Bodys done 250xxx

5 Speed

Lsd

electric windows

power steering

A/C

De cat exhaust.

Missing interior parts.

Leaking soft top

So after realizing the 15x9's wouldnt work with the tyre i could legally run for a cert/wof i sold them and shipped them off to chch. few days later these beauties arrived at my door :-D

XXR257 15x8.25's for the extra ''Hellaflushness'' according to the manufacturer haha

Aint no dish here! was wanting somthing a little different from the traditional dish people normaly put on mx5's

Cheers man!yea I've seen the episodes, that pretty much exactly how I'm planing to do the turbo install. I'm planing on running around 8-10psi should be good and alot more fun to drive :DĀ 

im soon going to start doing track/drift days and want to get a rollbar for rollover Protection/reassurance.Ā 

Has anyone out there made there own before? my dads a certified welder so easily capable of helping me out.
Any help appreciated :)

i contemplated building a roll bar aye, measurements have to be precise otherwise your soft top wont fit, and if your life has to ever rely on it id get a proper engineer to make one, i had a quote for $900 from chubbracing for a mean as one, another guy to see would be Kevin Hunt who lives in Waimauku...
