wickmyster
I need help identifying XA Coupe factory decals. I am trying to find what models and where to get a set of these stickers or some clear photos so I can have them made up. I am wanting to return my coupe back to its factory specs (other than wheels, and twin headlight conversion; D ). Does anyone have any info or pictures of these stripes? http://tinypic.com/r/sw8j8j/6
yetchh
Is it a factory 302? could be a superbird.. gt ford performance (fomoco.com.au) have decal kits for early falcons.. you could also enquire on aussiecoupes or fordforums.com.au they have a wealth of info.. wickmyster
It is also not a McLeod Ford Horn Car stripe, guess Ill ahve to try track down which dealer sold it and go from there.
KKtrips
My guess is its a generic stripe you could buy from the 70's/80's equivalent of Supercheap.. It doesn't look factory to me.

wickmyster
It was dealer fitted, the guy I purchased it off had it for 35 years, and I have hit up the aussies on http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?p=4489739#post4489739 but still no progress
KKtrips
Yeah dealer fitted doesn't mean shit in the 70's. They could have had a couple extra coupes lying around the lot to sell before the end of the year so they tarted them up and flicked them on as "specials". A lot of dealers back in the day would even fit vinyl roof's to cars to flick them on when they had been sitting around a while..
cletus
stolen from nzmoparforum; similar? i would agree with KK here, probably an aftermarket thing
wickmyster
Yeah, not to worried if it was a ford/dealing thing or not, would just like to track some down. I will have to have a chat with the pervious owner, he must have some more photos somewhere.
yetchh
I asked around on another site and they seem to think it could be a McLeod Horn car.. they are renowned for their "wild" decals, a good piece of ford motoring history http://www.aus-ford-uk.co.uk/html/spoilers_-_horn_cars.html

KIRK
A lot of dealers back in the day would even fit vinyl roof's to cars to flick them on when they had been sitting around a while.. old men i worked with at ford said they fitted vinyl roof to the cars that had dented roofs which was quite common back in the 70s for some reason
yetchh
Not even close in my opinion Not to the classic horn decal no, but he apparently had a couple of different ones.. I'm awaiting more conformation
