  3. I know there is a lot of hate for these engines on this forum, but I love them, that is why l I have just purchased my second Sierra which has a carbed 8V DOHC, but it is leaking a lot of oil from the front somewhere, the car is stuck 5 hours away at my parents house, what is the most likely culprit...the crank seal or the oil pump or???
  4. What is the best set up for a crank trigger? Also, is there any benefit from running a wasted spark set up?/How much harder will it be to get it running a normal firing set up, I dont mind running 6 coils as I was planning on coil-on-plug set up if I can.
  5. I am thinking of trying the cam angle sensor from an AU on my non crossflow, as they seem to be able to dropinto my dizzy hole without much modding.

I want to use it in my Coupe just to be different, but it will have better power and economy that and carb LPG set up like my E-gad BA has:/ I might have to hunt for some instaltion instuctions for my kit. But can anyone answer my intial question?
  10. thegreatestben, do you run an O2 sensor etc to get the LPG kit to run?
  11. Ohh that would be a bonus, I was contemplating doing efi as well...to dual fuel it, though I may just have it suck air through the carb I mice big throtle body would be pretty nice, get a bit more of a roar out of it.

  14. My goal is to run a SVI LPG system on my 250 2v, but I need an ecu for the ecu that came with the LPG kits to get the spark pulses from so it known when to squirt the gas in. So how do I get this sorted? Do I need to get a crank trigger sensor or something, I have already for an electronic dizzy, can I marry the two together? Any ideas/help will be awesome.
  15. Sounds like it is coming from the throttlebdy mixer...sounds like it is coming from the speedo when I floor it, car still goes well. Just cut out my cat converter as it self destructed and was rattling around.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-t_2xzpUwlE&feature=youtu.be

  23. Any thoughts on these? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=569974872 at the 2 into one it looks like it will disturb the airflow to buggery? Any exhaust system experts tell me wether these are pretty crap or pretty good?
  24. Yes, I am registered on a few, remebering which on is which is the hassle ;D
  25. Might be realy to ECU Here's another thing: If your engine dies while driving - watch the gauges. It may be the relay that powers the ECU. If the tachometer drops to zero while the car is still rolling in gear, that is surely the cause. If the tachometer keeps showing the correct value, but the econometer shows a fuel cut, the problem is in the air flow meter. If the tachometer shows correctly, and the econometer indicates there there is still fuel consumed, the problem is the fuel pump or its relay. I am pretty sure when my car died that the rev counter was not reading anything
