sheepers
the injector pump on the land cruiser is leaking a bit from time to time, it appears to be coming from around the top flange but thats far from certain. some times it will actually drip off the bottom of the pump and sometimes its a bit wet and diesely around the pump. the motor is a 3B toyota motor, ummm, can't tell you much else. how do i remedy this situation???? thanks all. sheepers. shizzl
get a diesel/4x4 workshop to replace the seals...not overly expensive
flyingbrick
It can be very very expensive if they want to service the whole pump, which they will prolly try doing. I suggest signing up to ore.co.nz and asking there
shizzl
we had the seals in our 4x4 done for $400.. most can be done without taking the pump off..depending whats leaking..
RUNAMUCK
I've heard of it getting really expensive also. Buy kit and fix yourself? Or repower with supercharged Lexus V8?
shizzl
could also turn out really expensive if you try to crank open a diesel injection pump yourself and getting shit inside it.. i know i wouldnt try it lol you wont know what itll cost untill you ask them
Evan
Or repower with a 2m
Valiant
Toyota ones often leak around the top there is a shaped o ring and an o ring on the throttle shaft. It is quite easy to replace them both, just mark where the throttle lever is on the shaft before you pull it appart. You can get the parts from diesel repair shops they cost about $10 from memory
sheepers
thanks alot guys. ill do some more digging about the o ring and the shaft seal, from what i can see this is the place its leaking from so it may very well fix it. choice. sheepers.
