slickyddyer
So I got these twin 45 dellortos and a manifold for my 2L ford motor But I was about to fit them when I noticed the water hole to the head has been sealed up. Whats the go with that? How can I run these if I can't cool the head?
Raizer
Its the heater hose, has nothing at all to do with cooling the head.
slickyddyer
OK sweet. So you can't run the heater with this setup? It definately needs a heater in winter hehe
Raizer
Na no heater unless theres room to drill and tap the manifold to put a fitting on for the heater hose?

Horse25
just so you know not having a heat after having one sucks!
kritta
i`m selling Milwaukee jackets that take an 18v battery, and have a heater built into them..even camoflague colour
Abarth
Wire in 12v hair dryer into vents. I think there are actual electric demisters that heat for a car.
davidian
just out of interest, whats the specs on your 2L? twin 45s seem fairly agressive
slickyddyer
Specs for the 2L you ask? Just the usual bits - Lumpy cam, extractors, head work, electronic distributor. The 45s are what they run best with apparently. It will probably drink a bit more gas tho.
CUL8R
Seriously man, Im stubborn as all hell, and drove through a pretty harsh winter in chch with my wagon without a heater, due to a similar problem. Spend a little amount of time and money and tap a heater into it, its stupid to go without one. Plus, you get more capacity in your cooling system... felixx
Heater pipes and matrix all add coolant volume to system. If car heats up too much turn heater on to bled heat off coolant
