- i5oogt -
After pulling the front out I had a dig through my parts stash and found a gold bonnet. although it is the wrong gold it does the job also fitted grill, headlight, bumper from my parts stash. bumper is slightly bent up on the drivers side but that can be fixed later next came to replace/fix all the broken odds and ends replace bonnet release cable, strip fusebox and clean corrosion to get the horn and headlights working again, strip dash and get the illumination working, replace heater core and dash control cables. flush cooling system and refill with antifreeze. change oil and filter re assemle interior and install some cheap sounds ramflow for the dirty old pinto - everyones favourite engine Got a wof - went straight through paint some rustkill on the nasty repair until i can be bothered filling and smoothing the only thing left to do is change the rims for something more oldschool

fuel
how come this is in other projects section? I would consider it oldschool enough (I would be a bit biased though, having just purchased a MkV Cortina myself).
- i5oogt -
hunted/beaver, yeah i am quite shocked at the enthusiasm I have at the moment i think its a record for me, less than 2 weeks all up from near wreck to road legal fuel I wasnt sure if it would be oldschool enough for a proper project thread, can you swap it in with your super mod powers ? lol also tell me more about your mk5. I have 10 or so parts cars if you need anything
fuel
oh awesome! I was wondering where I could get parts from. I need a driver's door window regulator (winds up and down but has a little extra play in it), a passenger side sun visor which doesn't fall down by itself, a spare set of springs that I can cut, a driver's door card which matches the rest of the interior (it's the light brown colour and has had the lacy stuff between the chrome strips ripped off). It's a 2.0 L wagon cbf'd moving thread just yet as I gotta split the posts between this and a discussion topic, will do later.
- i5oogt -
I remember that wagon or trademe, looked quite tidy from the pics. I will have springs, possibly a regulator, most of them have suffered the same fate as yours, will definitely have a visor, and i might have a door card, will look through the parts cars next time im out at the farm

DodgySam
My Ex-bro in law had a super sweet deep dark purple mk5 super low on widened black painted steels. It looked real nice...was his fandamily cruiser. Some young cunt bought it off him and within a week it had a stoved in door and was smoking like a TAB regular.
