ok got practically given a tube frame car,

b1600 diff to five stud

tein coilovers front

s4 or 5 stubs and hubs,

had an rx3 body on it ,

dropping spare wagon shell over the top

lengthening 4 link 100mm

moving rear wheel arches forward 100mm and adding 100mm in the middle

thinking of dirt drags and such events,

have spare 3.8 so likely be anchor powered

yeah just rolling frame essentially,

have a spare wagon to play with,

was just gona get a sabre saw and my mig and go for broke after some careful measurements of course,

was counting on 4.8 diff 33-35" rear tires and some narrow front runners,

3.8v6 with a turbo or blower and an auto to get it moving,

alot of the bars are alloy so will get some chromoly links sorted

don't think so diddy needs finishing,

anchor may well be yawn but an ecotec anchor are good for 300kw on stock internals,

idea is to just get it driveable for dirt drags but consult a strip techie along the way to

run it down the quarter one day,

Flag dirt drags as soon as it goes take it to the strip, do some test days you will learn a shit load about setting it up. If your going to do this build the car to a class or it will be a useless paper weight. Order a NZDRA rule book asap if they have any left, the rules can be quite tight in some regards.

Stall converter would be a high priority for the auto, loading up a factory stall on the line is no fun, also look into rangi mods shift kitting the auto.

haha this looks oddly familiar, had a few more panels on it when i saw it last though

Frame has some sketchy as shit welds going on, will need a clean up but should be sweet with the time and effort put in.

What kind of wagon body are you thinking of? (sorry if i missed it)

i think coupling two 3.8s together may be key to success,

use t700r and do some skids,

how would i ensure they run together as one,

just line up tdc's and go?

as the crankshafts will be locked together?

Run them 180 degrees out from each other. Would be good to get all the cyliders firing independantly for the maximum sweetness sound. I dont really know how to do that but trial and error you ill sort it.

Couple the engines together with a spline that allows a bit of slip. Mount both engines together really solid as if its one big V12.

Not sure if using a drive shaft CV is a good idea ? how fast are they rated to spin at ? Probly doesnt matter as the 3800 dont really rev that hard.

Maybe put a balance tube from one intake to the other to help with throttle alignment ? I duno ?
