fuel
yeah the auction included two dash ECUs but no wiring loom to go with it. I have a wiring diagram for the DASH ecu though so can probably make my own loom.
lowlancer
Mean. I remember stripping down the DASH loom. What a mare. Fresh will be choice

Spencer
Id say it will go super lol at track day, chuck adjusties in for track?? I remember fololowing teh cheese around the track pre suspension was some epic shit, not as epic as tank though. Also good work for working on a non LMVD spec car for a change
fuel
yeah if I have time I'll swap over the suspension, brakes and lsd diff from the cheese, might do a few laps on the steels and enduro gr2000s for lols.
Spencer
so the lard will basically be a cheese mk2, mean wish I had a soarer to dort around with you haha
fuel
haha yeah lard will be the cheese all over again. but the difference is I'll stop when the dash head is on, maybe go multipoint with aftermarket ecu and bigger churbro way later on after/if cheese is finished. Toucan
Far I forgot this was non turbs. Which trackday? Sounds like alot of effort, might aswell just slot engine back into cheese lol
fuel
nah cause I always wanted the GT to be back to turbo again, and putting original engine back into the cheese would be going backwards with the V6 progress really. I think the Eterna is going to be a really long term project now haha. I've been thinking about stripping it down, fix the rust and get it painted while I'm still messing about with the engine/gearbox shit. Doing that will just turn this already difficult and expensive undertaking into an even more difficult and expensive one. Just get the conversion done and enjoy it, while you save $5k to clean up the body. It will not be a difficult excercise to pull the motor, box and running gear out to clean and repaint the body. And doing conversions in a freshly panel and painted shell is always a very bad idea.
Spencer
^ agree. Bad move, get it running enjoy it, stripping it will add years onto your build
fuel
well it already is a few year old build anyway, I kind of knew this a while ago which is why I bought the GT. At the very least I'll paint the engine bay when I'm done with all the fab work on the engine and when the engine is out getting built up on the stand, and then paint the rest of the shell later on I guess. ryanfels
I agree with brad, for the sake of spending a day removing the engine, its not worth setting the project back another year or so
Thousand Dollar Supercar
Magical transformation in no time at all. Clearly too easy for you, no wonder you're planning to V6 the cheese..
lowlancer
Looking good. Is that a fart cannon?
Thousand Dollar Supercar
The same fart cannon from the cheese? Hopefully extended so it won't melt any more bumpers.
fuel
nah fart cannon is long gone - it's a 3" V8 style round muffler with a 5" or so long 3" dia pipe.
Jeffs_Emporium
good to see what mine COULD look like if i actually got my a into g an did something
lowlancer
Fuck, mean snap. Guts about BHG, sounds like that engine got a bit tired/lazy sans turbo. Looking forward to seeing this become DASH powered
