My name is Russell
Really simple question for someone hopefully ... since that turbo thread went so down hill and was locked have started a new thread. Have just brought this greddy critter The vac hose on the back of it, were does that need to be run too? I'm guessing to the nipple beside the turbo or on the intake manifold? The BOV will be on the intake side of the intercooler if that changes anything? Cheers guys Will order some gay blue vac pipe once i know the lengths i require to plumb in. efp0wa
I assume that is the only vacuum nipple on the BOV. It just needs a intake line, so from the inlet manifold, intake side of i/c: etc.

My name is Russell
Ok next question ... the waste gate? same deal?
efp0wa
If I remember rightly.... Using a external or internal?
Brock-Lee
Wastegate needs a boost reference so it knows when to open. this is the same if you are running external or internal. Are you running an electronic boost control setup?
My name is Russell
Electronic boost control setup ... haha ummm haha would that be the link computer Internal waste gate.
Brock-Lee
internal gates should only have one boost refernce port. Just put a line from inlet manifold to that barb fitting. Will go RAAAAARRRGGGHH and shit
My name is Russell
Ok sweet so they both run back to the inlet manifold. Cheers yeow
kpr
waste gate doesnt need vac, only pressure. so just run it to the one you have by turbo
escortman
yeh it also adds a little bit of safety taking boost ref from the turbo or as close as possible to the turbo, because if you take it from the inlet manifold and have a leak some where in the intercooler piping the turbo could overboost and fuck it
My name is Russell
Great cheers guys will order some pipes
thegreatestben
What size is your intercooler piping and what size is that bov? I remember you wanting a T piece. I have a samco one in 2 1/4" with a 1" T bit for the BOV. If its any use you can have it for $20 cos they are expensive as.
