Beaver
hey all. got some rims for my hunter, and they are 4x110 (didnt know when i brout them), and my stud pattern is 4x108. they fit on the studs, but obviously the studs are not in the dead centre. is it legal to slot mags? or are there other options to a)keep me and others safe, and keep it legal cheers

Steelies
slotting is dodgy as. legal shmegal when your wheel flies off at 60mph get some adapters or a different set of tridents
mikuni
I think you can get the steel sleeves pressed out, slot the "mags" and then put the steel back in in the correct position. Best bet is to talk to a couple of engineers, wheel specialists if you can. If they tell you somethings sweet/lsafe/legal and carry out the work then it has to be as far as I'm concerned. slipsittin
NZ Wheels in Auckland did some for me then pressed sleeves in 5 years ago(I think) and was about $60-00 a hole. I have the same delemer with my cortina Andrew, as the wheels I brought were sold as 5x114 but are 5x112. The advantage that I have is I need to run spacers due to the offset so I can adapt the two patterns to suit. Is that possible for you? Brock-Lee
Hunted, try elite wheels they are just down annex rd. they will sort it out.
Gaz
My 4x110 fit my 4x108 escort, and have done for years now. The holes on my rims are quite large and I run a large shanked nut. Have gone through a cert and multiple WOFS, doesnt mean its still legal I guess. So what im saying is that if they fit on, and run true, then use a large shanked bolt and youll be away. Because differant cars have differant dia studs most mag wheels have a slightly larger hole than our old car studs can fill anyways. Beaver
well i went and put them in the car today, looked prety mint, but they stick out past the edge of the car lol, so the car sits on the tyres at the back when i lower it off the jack....think its just going to be too much hassle/expense to get them fitting good anyways....ah well
RUNAMUCK
I'd talk to elite too. 100 years ago I has some steelies that went on all but one stud on an old datto I had. I just kept running bigger and bigger drills through the 4th hole untill they went on. Drove them around for ages like that.
sheepers
its the centre boss that needs to be right. centrelines come from the factory with slotted holes, i dont know the exact rules (pity Callum isint still around) but if centreline can advertise slotted mags in "hot rod" mag and various others then they must be do-able. sheepers

I forgot that cheviot offered most of its 5 stud 14's in slotted for Holden and Ford to cut down machining costs. Obviously others still do Corey
