Unclejake
^ What they said. Weld em then they are fucked. I am a bit confused as to what is going on.
Gaz
I would chop the thread off and weld it onto your cortina struts
eke_zetec_RWD
okm i kinda see what your up to. whats so special about the shocks them selfs? id remove the threaded tube and weld to strut, then hold shock into strut the normal way like an insert. Unclejake
^ I expect the 'donor' inserts have a machined grove and circlip to hold the adjustable platform sleeve in place. if that is so the I/D of the sleve will be smaller than the O/D of the strut so your good plan will not work. Perhaps good money after bad. Hard to say without eyeballing it all
eke_zetec_RWD
yea i realise that, hmm just wont work i dont think sorry lol. the threaded sleve and nuts are quite cheap like 30bux each corner.
MZ ROLA
i have brand new adjustable sleeve kits for sale if you want some pm me - with an offer:) they have a diameter of roughly 5cm
filthy one
Ok took your advice UJ did it this way & it works .. I cut the thread out of the other struts & made up some sleeves cut the lower coil bracket out the same amount as the thread to be welded in this way the strut is still factory length Also uses the factory insert etc

Snoozin
You're not going to have much travel before that shock bottoms out once it's got some weight on it!
