Being alloy it will most likely not be anywhere near strong enough to be a proper cage. Alloy 'cosmetic' cages are quite popular in the UK, but offer no additional protection in accidents. And yes I agree, they are gay. thought id add that alloy cages cannot be made legal for competition use. if you have read the autobiography by possum bourne, you will know what im talking about. but just breifly, after he had a huge crash and his co-driver at the time was killed, regulations throughout the world changed, stating that roll cages must be made of steel of chromoly steel.
