Its just starting to get a deep shine to it now and the true colour being revealed. Looked like a high vis vest for a start Quite a relief it turned out how i wanted it. QCADTA Posted April 26, 2008 Share Posted April 26, 2008 No clear coats mate, just straight acrylic lacquer, should be mint after a wet sand and a polish, got told i wouldnt need a clear coat and looks like they were right. Hopefully the panel beatings up to standard when i get it in some descent light. yours must be extra shiney with a coat of clear? thats lookin bloody good mate.......atleast you wont lose it at night haha cheers, its losing the hi vis effect as it dries to a good shade of orange. AL Series Acrylic Lacquer single stage colors can be polished to a full gloss. CL3245 High Performance Acrylic Lacquer Clear coat may be used to give more depth of color and added durability as well as making polishing easier. Optional Clear coating: If desired, a clear coat can be applied to provide additional long term durability and wet-look appearance. CL3245 High Performance Acrylic Lacquer Sunscreening Clear. Mix 1 : 1 with LT85 High Gloss Lacquer Thinner. Apply 3-4 coats before clearcoat. You dont have to apply a clear coat, only if you want that wet look appearance as stated, which im not really after.
