peteretep
how do you think I should go about stopping fuel going everywhere, I am changing to an electric fuel pump which will be mounted near the tank (at rear), tank is about 1/4 full and line is just metal
zep
I dunno where you get them, but I have a hose blocker. it goes around the hose and you scew it up, pushing the hose together and blocking it up. Some kind of chemistry item I think...
peteretep
yeah I was thinking maybe silicone or something to go in there until I get onto emptying the tank
Toucan
Syphon it into the Gaylant? Blocking the rubber ones are easy, wooden dowel or something in them, not sure about the tank end of things, I drained it into a jerry can
Gaz
Wind a bolt down the rubber then use a circle clip and wind it tight around the base of the bolt.
ESKIN8R
just use a punch that fits inside, works great
crazy_rich
Wind a bolt down the rubber then use a circle clip and wind it tight around the base of the bolt. do that. or just fold the hose over its self and ziptie it off. or do what i did when i pulled the crapper apart, park the ride on next to it, hose in the tank and let gravity do its thing
thminiman
the pipes metal, methodz idea will work, alternatively, try and find a little bit of rubber pipe and block one end of that with a bolt and hose clip, then put that onto the pipe on your car and hose clip that on. you should be able to find a good diameter pipe on the engine youve just taken out dunno if that made sense to other people, but made sense to me
peteretep
ok i might try putting some rubber on it and clamp it with a bolt in it
danger
Nah best thing I've ever found is just those little plastic faber-castell or similar felt tip pen lids, The wee white caps from the little colourful felt pens that all little kids seem to have. Work a charm and you can block anything from about 6mm tubing up to 8mm tubing.
