Toucan
Nup, it measured up within specs and there wasnt any visible markings or anything like that so I just gave it a polish and cleaned it up.

kyteler
Difference being Schmeliot has changed the engine simply to increase power to the wheels not for any broken reasoning. Upgrade to 2litre then Upgrade to 2litre turbo. Needs a 6 though. Next engine = Mitsi 3.5V6 Twin Turbo.

peteretep
looking good man, does the racing seat sit any lower in the car than the normal seats?
Toucan
Havent mounted it yet, but it will sit slightly lower. Waiting for a mate to grab some steel tube from his work then I'll bolt the seat to the steel then to the escort rails. The seat is actually quite big, was a tight fit getting it in there. peteretep
yeah I would think that most seats would be tight, was just wondering because when I get some new seats for my car I want them to sit lower than standard do you have to get a cert when you put those modified rails in your car?
Toucan
Shouldnt need a cert, im using the original rails in the original locations, I could bolt the seat directly to the rails but I need to space the seat from the rails about 10mm to clear the slider mechanism, I dont know if the spacer counts as a modification to the rails or not. Will find out when I go for a warrant.
