I think the point dirty old Eliot from kalamazoo was trying to make is that P/W Ratio isn't the be all and end all there's other factors to be taken into account, for instance two almost identical spec'd Escorts (or Datsuns, Camels, Lima Beans etc) one with a little less power but a little more weight, also has warmed up slicks or high performance street slicks will probably be faster over a quarter mile than the other etc etc. Also...
