Toucan
escorta is that a pic of your 1300? engine? nup thats my 1600. Car looks mean, I've seen a debumpered rear end before, but the one I'd seen has all the bumps n whatnot smoothed over, looks alot better I reckon. Very tidy ride
Guest Eddie W
V6 carb is a 40/40 DFA if I remember right. The reason that they're thirstier is that they are non progressive as well as being jetted for a 3 litre. They can go pretty well when set up right. Guest WESTCORT
i know whats wrong with your engine! the last owner was at the summer rota drags and was driving around in the thick dust and sandy air doing skids with no air filter. have a look at your front right guard too it will be slighty damaged at the wheel arch where his wheel came into contact with the guard. Jerm
1600 carb is the same as the 2L one... 32/36 DGAV/DGV some of the later ones have a cap over the mixture screw though apparently... it can be removed though...
esky boi
Aren't the 1600 carbs 28/36, and 2 litre 32/36?
zep
I was led to believe that 28/36 Webers are from GT Cortinas. Getting pretty rare now too
Toucan
I was told that 28/36 was only ever an aftermarket carb...? The guy who gave me mine bought it new as an upgrade back in the day
